CSM Vote Match is now open for business!
What is Vote Match Vote Match is a website I've run since the CSM4 election which matches up users to CSM candidates that most closely match their opinions and views on Eve after filling in a questionnaire about the game. This year I've completely rebuilt the website from the ground up, and it shows!
What's new The new version of Vote Match features a greatly improved questionnaire which is also available in Russian, German and Italian.
Additionally, we've also set up more elaborate candidate profiles that you can easily browse and give you much more information about each candidate. The candidate profiles also feature social media buttons so you can easily promote your favourite candidate(s) through platforms like Twitter and Facebook.
Vote Match can be especially useful when you're not too familiar with all the different CSM candidates and what they stand for.

I think some of the first questions are slightly missleading. I'm getting a worse match with certain candidates because I don't don't have the same experience as them. What I do in EVE doesn't necessary mean I want a person of same game aspect to represent what I want to happen to the game. No |

The answers you give in the survey only indicate which answers you will accept from a candidate to that question - not necessarily what represents your personal way of playing. That's why it says
Quote:Answers I will accept from a candidate:
Additionally, you can choose to exclude questions on the results page. Simply select the questions with their little checkbox and then click the button that says "Question options" and select "Exclude selected questions". This will mean those questions will disappear and they will not be counted towards your matching score.

All I know is that I'm definitley not voting for Malcanis. :) His idea of rational posting isn't what I would call rational in the traditional sense of the word. Artctura is the only one who has a stand out platform from my brief look at them all. |

Yeah I noticed that too :/ And the server was doing so well too. Gah!
I hope it comes back up soon. Meanwhile I'll try to set up a mirror.

They should give us an option for voting to scrap the csm altogether in the next election.
If that's not included then the usual candidate called "not voting" gets (well doesn't get actually) my vote. |

About the same as the point the CSM actually serves now - none.

Obviously, the only choice is the neonazi candidate, because obviously that's exactly the kind of representation we want on the CSM and the kind of influence we want on the game (not to mention, obviously obviously, the kind of outwards imagery we want to evoke)GǪ
Obviously. Vote Malcanis for CSM8. |

A nice initiative but I'm not spending half an hour on a form to help me determine which candidate to vote into a position of no power who best represents my interests.
Miss Universe may hope for peace on earth but she will not be speaking before the United Nations any time soon.
CCP has plans for this game and they will not let our flaky votes get in the way of that.
CSMs purpose are to look pretty for the camera and show symbolic support for the decisions CCP make (or they won't be going to Iceland) We miss you Saede. |

You'd be surprised to learn how much influence the CSM has over those plans. But you know, you can keep on being bitter about it.

I believe this is where you're supposed to put forth an example.
So give me an example of something that CCP intended to implement but after conferring with the ESM before implementation the ESM made them either not do it or changed CCPs decision. We miss you Saede. |
