AM currently doing lvl 3s in my ferrox the missions ranging from really easy to "on the edge" doable My problem is on the tough missions spy stash/black market hub etc cant run an ab as need the extra hardener to survive that makes for one damn slow ferrox The only way i can fit a tank to do the above 2 missons is to fit 2 250 rails 5 arlbast assaults in highs (not bad damm but not the best) Have tried the 5 250 rails 2 heavys loadout but there is no way I can see to fit this and still run a tank to survive the 2 or 3 really tough lvl 3s tank atm it 2 best named large shield expanders /2 tech 2 act hardeners(thermal and em)/tech2 med booster Am looking for a way to fo lvl3s more quickly (ie not spend 60 mins crawling from can to can to get loot) Now apart from training for hac(not gonna happen any time soon) and I would like to keep shield tanking (since thats where all my skils are)... I seem to have two choices scorp or raven...scorp lottsa mids but have a feelin less dammage than the ferrox and raven which everyone tells me sucks ass now I could train up gall ships I surpose or another race but thats gonna was a hell of a lot of time So guess my main question is do caldari battleships suck too badly to be worth training for even to do lvl 3 missions quickly? and any other ideas?

You won't be able to do level 3s much quicker in a battleship. And remember they move even slower than the ferox.
I would recommend Assault Frigates, a Harpy or Hawk as you seems to fly caldari. While they might not be able to do all missions faster and some like the spy stash will be even harder in them you will have much more fun doing the missions.

yep kinda figured af was the only option :P although with less firepower gonna be tougher Another question with the upcomming changes to npc ie them jamming etc do ya think the devs are trying to stop people killing npcs missions and ratting/complexes totally and eliminate that as a way of making money in theis game? leaving eveyone to chose mining or pvp?

Actually I would recommend you stay with the launchers. I still do lvl 4 missions solo with a raven but I have all missile skills, including the new ones, at 4. If you train up to raven just a tip torps do the same damage to small targets as cruise missiles but more damage to the bigger targets.

i think the idea of the NPC changes is to push more players into co operative missions etc. Though a BS solo might need a combintaion setup ie 3 large guns- 2 meds or 2 smalls as well.
It will make it harder for newbies to get into solo missions but if they join similar stage players it should become easier - on the flip side better loot tables will make co op more or less par with solo now.

Before I was able to use AF, and HAS, I ran lvl 3 Missions in a ferox with no issues. I even ran some of the easier lvl 4 Missions in a ferox. At the time I had my turret skills to lvl 3, and most of the support skills to the same.
Personally I would start to look at different what skills you have trained, and looking at your setup. With the above skills I found rails much more effective. I typically used 5 250's (proto), 2 heavy launchers (whatever I had most recently looted). For mid slots, 2-3 hardeners (kinetic and therm for gurista), shield booster (med tech 2), afterburner, if only mounting 2 hardeners I also ran a webber (X5 or fleeting). For low slots Power Diags, and Mag Fields.
In generally go with either a passive tank (extenders and relays), or go active tank (hardeners, and boosters). In most cases mixing them does not work well.
In regards to Caldari BS, I enjoy both. The changes to missiles, in general, I like. I still run lvl 4 missions solo with them, although it does take a little longer, and require more skills then before.

The loot trick. Really easy.
1) have a fast ship in the station or nearby I m using an mwd probe. 2) Do mission, but bookmark 1 can in each `room` 3) tell agent mission complete 4) switch to fast ship 4) warp to BM, your cans are no longer in deathspace
MWD from can to can.

MWD from can to can.
unless this changed after the cold war patch, *everything* dissapears whien the mission is completed/times out. At least so i thought. Don't hold me to it though. ---------------

Then they must of changed it (but I dont think they did always been this way)
I can confirm that everything EXCEPT what you killed disapears.
So the cans are still there.

low:4x250 rails, 1 fast tracking short range blaster, 1 heavy, 1 assault. med: tracking comp 2, med shield booster 2, 1 harder, 1 medium extender 2, 1 90 percent webber. low: tracking improver(forgot the exact name), magnetic field 2, 2x pds 2.
I mostly use antimatter to kill on range 25 to 40km with it, i use irridium to kill on range 60 a 65km. Short range i kill with the 1 blaster, the 2 missiles and the webber and drones.
I will need to warp out a few times to reload my cap, but after training my med. hybrid guns further, i do that less often. I bookmark cans, so i can loot them after mission with a frigate.
