anyone noticed anything strange happening in the adaptive invul ii market and the expanded cargo hold ii market in jita 4/4
someone seems to be putting alot of orders up between 100 and 200 items. Constantly updating. Finding just recently in those markets when i put up new order, because ive had buy order bringing in new stock. I put up the next lowest sell order by 0.1 and in those markets just recently an order keep coming up 0.1 below mine and infront. My order and his order appear at the same time but his order is completed 20 to 30seconds before mine and always 0.1 below mine. Mine was like 0.1 below the other order.
Happen to much to be a coincidence. My order has not even show on the market for me before he has put his 0.1 below mine. Youd think his would be 0.1 below the one im also going 0.1 below. So they would be the same.
Anyone come across this also. Tempted to buy some stock and find out who it is. Anyone have any details on wether they think this is a bot or person, or already been looking into this. |

Their crazy in Jita like that.
Chances are you walked into like 10 people trying to get some sales, even thought its Saturday night and no ones gonna get any sales, I can assure you these people are nuts when it comes to .01 wars in Jita.
Personally, I just walk away and find something else to do, just log in if im still awake once in a while and make sure my orders are not way way behind in case a big some one comes by and wants tons of stuff. |

You can't win .01 wars if you're not watching your orders like a hawk.
The problem is you're not discouraging them from undercutting you when you .01isk, you haven't changed the price to any significant degree so of course they're going to .01 you right back. Learn to go down in bigger increments or accept you're not going to sell. |

In most cases you shoot yourself in the foot by crashing the price on goods that you have in your possession.
there are better little tricks out there to get yours. |

The T2 Adaptive Invuln market is one of the more volatile ones in Jita... Several times I have watched it go down to close to buy price in the space of a few hours, only to swing back up again.
It is a very competitive item, and there are often 50-60 orders being updated constantly. |

Unless that trick is "Go sell it somewhere else" I'm at a loss as to what this could be. |

It could be a huge coincidence, that they update their orders at the same time as you. I'll lower .02 isk when competitors are online... There's nothing worse than an EVE player, generally considered to be top of the food chain in the MMO world, that cannot smacktalk with wit and coherency. |

Unless that trick is "Go sell it somewhere else" I'm at a loss as to what this could be. Perhaps they are referring to the possibility of 'using' a badly configured bot (or a really excited and non-paying attention human) to drive the price way way way down then buy up their stock and relist at a higher price to profit not only from your own goods but from your competitor's as well.

Im sorry ladies and gentlmen, I posted that response without even hinting at a single trick.
Monday, is unofficially the day people liquidate stock and buyers wait to score large deals at fair prices, a MASSIVE push of goods and ISK transfers happen on Monday as soon as the servers come up for about 2 hours.
There is also ship auction Mondays in the ships channel.
those are just a few of the tricks iv ripped away from my heart knowing it will cost me ISK. |

Here's a simple little trick. Works sometimes but not always, and won't work on an item with a high volume or against bots.
Lowest sell order is:
28,989,437.94
You want to have lowest sell order, but keep getting .01 isked. Make a sell order:
28,989,347.94
Other guy, while checking to make sure his orders are lowest, will see your order and assume it was his. He's expecting to be .01 isked and, especially if he is checking a lot of orders, sometimes will not notice.

Will just be a dude using a EULA legal market tool. As soon as you place your order the API will tell him and his tool will provide him a macro'd copy and pasteable 0.1'd figure for him to enter into his market orders. If he sets up his tool properly all he needs to do is press 1 key and then the ok box, order changed in a split second. You can update many orders very very quickly doing this.
I will also dispell some myths about beating these guys. Changing your orders by massive amounts will do nothing to beat him, he will have set up lower and upper limits that will warn him something needs to be investigated in that order so you will only cause a loss of profit to yourself by doing this. He will simply ignore the order untill it re-enters his profit margins.
The reason the tool is EULA legal is because all automation occurs outside of client with all eve clicks done by hand inside the client even if it's jsut hitting OK OK or a single button push. At any rate CCP will just warn him if he causes massive problems.
If you don't like EVE's rules then don't play the game, please whine to your nearest CSM member before rage quiting. CCP will never change this due to the fact that EVE richest players use this tool and they can simply crash the PLEX market as a protest. ALthough crashing PLEX is a bannable offence but that would involve a massive S storm of multiple account bannings amongst some of eves most powerfull entitys.
If you really don't like such tools the best thing to do is get one, the more people using the tools then margins in every traded item will vanish and the eve ecconemy be displayed as the sham it is. CCP will then ban botting, ISO boxing and market API tools alongside the lottery. |
