Hi!
We will be holding a mass test on Singularity on Thursday, April 11th, at 19:00 UTC (= EVE time).
What exactly is being tested?
How to connect to Singularity for this test:
Test steps:
- Meet in FD-MLJ
- to be decided
What else should I know?
- We will be moving players to the test system - join the channel massmoveme for this
- Please bring a good mix of ships!
- Skill points will be awarded on Singularity for this mass test
- Please run logserver during the mass test, if possible.

Is this only for cap pilots to test some functionality, or are we all invited? |

Is the usual time of 1900 UTC ever going to change? That's 2pm on a school/work day for everyone in North America. |

Hmm.. Sadly, that will be a problem. I got college classes during the mass test... Hmm... |

Yes, activations will happen before the mass test, but it is still not sure, if it will done by the automatic script (or through the old process). CCP Habakuk | EVE Quality Assurance | Team Gridlock | Team Five 0 Bug reporting | Mass Testing |

Not likely, as it's really the CCP employees that are the important ones, not the random testers.
With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

There are mainly two sides to it: 1. Number of players, who would join the mass test - this is at peak around 20:00 UTC (compare with the population on TQ) 2. Devs, which are needed for the mass test - the afternoon would be better, but 19:00 or 20:00 is still ok. Later than 20:00 gets very difficult. For me personally 21:00 is still ok - but then i would probably have to run the mass test alone. Mass tests during the weekend have the same problem (but very seldom we had mass tests during the weekend).

Is this to test out how many crashes your new 'upgrades' cause b/c of ram leaks ect? Please note, 4gigs of ram is NOT an acceptable amount per client in a fleet fight. That might save you some trouble. |

Are we going to need skills for cap ships and / or cynos, or will we still have a purpose in the test if we don't have any related skills? |

A good chunk on Sisi/Tq's players are under the age of 18. Which means they are still in school. Now most people that live on the western coast won't ever be able to attend one, but for those who live on Eastern and Central time zones we can manage, although 19:00 is almost impossible. Schools get out around 3 ish, or 20:00 EvE time. If mass tests could be moved to just 20:30 or something like that. 21:00 is probably best. The later you go, the more people will show. LONG LIVE THE AMARR! God says we are better then you so just stop fighting. |

Singularity is currently capped at ~650 players to avoid too heavy time dilation during the mass test. The reason for this is, that we are mostly interested in the client behavior and graphical effects in this mass test and too much lag would disturb this.
For the case that you are trying to login, you are unable to do so because of the queue and still want skillpoints: Send an eve-mail to this character (CCP Habakuk2) at the time when you were trying to login. I will try to give you at least a part of the skill points.

More americans yes, although for europeans 21:00 eve time would be around 23:00. That means that most of them will be preparing for bed, preparing their kids for bed or be too tired to attend. ;) |

Had I known there would be so much people on I would have stayed logged on, had a super fitted and all for the masstest If theres by any chance, I need as much skillpoints as I can to test/try out the Avatar next chance I get
tristin12 was also meant to do the masstest, but of course the queue wont let him in either "The more we sweat in peacetime, the less we bleed in war." |
