How do you guys fit your OGB? If you use a T3, do you stick with warfare links that the ship's subsystem provide, or add extra types (like shield links with a Loki boost fit)?
Do you use T3's, or stick with a BC, or... ?? Lots of talk about OGB, but never really seen any specific fits. Do you stick with shield or armor links regardless, or what? Curious minds, and all that!
Thanks! |

Firstly they would create a fitting they are happy with and go from there, unprobable or POS or tanked so they know how many links they will be able to have.
Then i suppose the owner of the booster would already have a preferred list in their minds of most to least useful for the ship/fitting type they are flying and fit them in that order on the booster.

my tank is mostly armor (not always)
so my OGB came from Prophecy to Legion. Fit.... Well OGB is in high-sec (yes, i'm a pro) and doesn't need much tank. So mostly links. But not without tank, hehe |

Thanks for your input, March rabbit. I'm trying to get an idea on how people use their OGBs currently, boost-wise, in hostile environments like FW warzones. My current OGB is a cloaky low-sig Loki fit with skirmish link, but I keep coming back to what seems kind of rediculous bonuses for skirmish on a Loki versus armor. It just doesn't make any sense to me...
Thanks again! |

If you have a pos and only one character then go for an 8//7/7 link claymore/vulture/damnation depending on what you want your bonused links to be, multiple characters use multiple t3s with thir bonused links.
If you have to roam then unprobable t3 or an on-grid tanked command ship. Usually 3/4 links for the t3s, 3 for the shield command ships and 3/4 for the armour command ships. |

To receive full loki bonus you will need a character with;
Minmatar Defence Systems at 5 Skirmish Warfare Specialization 5 Warfare Link Specialist 5 Skirmish Warfare Mindlink (implant) Tech II Links
As for mobility, i use the hard to probe / be aligned principal and safe stops near every gate and safes and deeps where and when possible. |

Cameron, thanks for that! I do roam often, and my Loki alt is close to unprobable with a full Jackal set in his skull, so that's worked out well so far. I was just looking at the Vulture this morning thinking about using it instead for a while. I'll have to take a look at the Damnation, too... And thanks for the 3/4 tip on the armor command ship. I'm partial to using that in the space I roam in versus a Vulture or maybe Nighthawk, so I'll definately see what I can do there!

Thanks for the input, Crosi!! Yeah, I have those skills already, except the Mindlink. And the safes are in place and ready to be used. |

Keep a look out for incursion systems. Many of the sites that spawn are off d-scan from celestials and thus make good deep safe spots. |

Good idea! I typically use mission or plex locations as a point of deviation for my safes, but I hadn't considered Incursion sites! Thanks! |

The mindlink implant carriers a huge boost to effectiveness of command links. Thats probably why you are underwhelmed with the booster as it is. |

i'd suggest learning how to fight with your boosts on grid as it's a matter of time before OGB get's removed. |

You can set up a 3 link loki to be fully probe resistant without implants (other then the mindlink) and even have a slot left over for a MWD. The problem with using non-skirmish links is your loosing out on both the ship bonus, and the MINDLINK, the latter being critical and why the upcoming multibonus change to T3 boosters is fail.
I wouldn't hold my breath for forced on grid boosting. Some devs have said they would like to move that way, but not that they are going to, or when. There are some really big problems with on grid boosts in the current meta, not to mention the technical issues they indicate. |

Thanks for the serious replies so far!
As for the elimination of off-grid boosting, it really doesn't bother me at all. It just means a change to tactics, including (assuming it'll still work) some real-quick grid-fu inside the plex or elsewhere. I prefer the use of the T3 (despite the boost bonus only on a single type of warfare) because I can currently get near-unscannable with my current Loki and Tengu fits, but I'm sure I'll have to change over the Command Ships whenever the change happens. I honestly haven't tried tanking a command ship just yet, so I'll probably be looking at that soon.
I was just curious to see what fits (non-EFT Warrior stuff) are actively being used right now to see about squeezing the most out of the boosting, but it appears that nobody wants to share their fits. |

My tengu and legion are pretty standar fit, but my loki is used 99% of the time and is decked out.
Quad link (3+ùSkirmish , 1xSiege) covert loki with probe launcher (98 probe strength iirc) and near unprobable as well. Clone and ship total to 3.5 billion isk. |
