Well, I'm not a new player, but there's not a specific section of the forum for general "orbital body" related questions.
When you click on info for an asteroid belt, you will see several stats, two of them being 'mass' and 'density'.
This particular asteroid belt has a mass of 2.2e+16 kg and a density of 263.0 g/cm3.
Now, is that just fluff text with no meaning, or is it the actual mass and density of that particular belt?
And, if it is the actual stats for that particular asteroid belt, do the mass and density stay static over time, or do they change as more ore is being mined. Do the mass and density change after every reset when the belts are replenished?
I might need a Dev reply on this one. |

I say give it a test. Check the numbers at the start of your mining session and compare to the ones at the end.
But I really doubt they change. This is EVE - Everybody Versus Everybody.

It's easy enough to test and see if the numbers change. I'm just wondering if the largest belt in the system (by mass and density) will always be the largest belt in the system.

Again...test it out.
Log in on multiple days after DT (as that means nothing has been mined yet) and check it. When a WoW player leaves to return to WoW, the avg. IQ of both games rises. Professional Forum Thread locker. |

Grab an Orca, a legal pad and a survey scanner? Then find a system with only 2-3 belts.
Or, check the Data Dump. I bet those mass numbers can be found in there if they're static. This is EVE - Everybody Versus Everybody.

I'll do some testing and post my findings in this thread. It might come in handy if someone else asks the same or similar question later on. |

The values doesn't change and it seems they don't affect the quantity/quality of asteroids. |
