I would say thorax. You can use it for both pvp and pve.

Edited by: Sakura Nihil on 15/09/2005 12:27:12 Depends on what you want to do with that cruiser - if its mining or hauling, an Osprey is your best bet, but if its combat ur after I suggest a Caracal. Even as a newb, it still gives you a very nice killrange (with my lvl 2 missile skills and cruiser 4, heavies could reach 76km), and is a bit cheaper than the Moa making it less of a loss when you lose it. In addition, it requires less SPs as the Moa isn't a purely missile ship like the Caracal, and will require you to train Med Hybrid turrets to be effective.
Long term though, Moas are better ships, but you need skills to be effective, so for now go Caracal.
Edit: If you're talking all-around, I'd say Thorax or Maller personally, nice tough lil ships.

I recommend trying out the vexor. It's cheaper and the +1 drone per cruiser skill level is nice. I also like how it looks different than thorax's and less people use it so it is more unique.

I srtated off in a stabber. Beautiful ship and good damage output.
However, I'd suggest the Thorax for its easy usefullness and versatility thanks to the drones. But don't try a Blastherax first, go for rails. It is easier.

My favorate Cruisers are the Thorax and the Maller, you can easily do level 3 missions in them, and are both good for PvP. Moas are ok, just not as high damaging as the thorax due to the thorax's oversised dronebay.

I think thorax is pretty much agreed as the best bang-for-buck ship at the moment.

For a newer player, i think the maller can be more effective with lower skill pt totals.
No missile skills No drone skills No cruiser gun skills
Duramaller ftw
