How about a multi role class of ships. say for example 3 small frigs that can combine and play as one, first player then gets movment, 2nd player gets gunnery defence the other sits in a command role calling targets or locations with broadcasts
Just thowing it out there to open further discussion

Yes, please totally ignore hulls that are broken because they haven't been revisited in years, instead add new ones so you'll have to revisit twice as many in five years' time.
Also, please bloat the client some more. It doesn't quite need enough disk space yet.

Memory limitations. New paintjob requires very little memory. New model requires a lot more, especially if they ever get around to that whole tesselation thing. Live Events are neither. |

You have no clue about tesselation whatsoever. A tesselated model does in no way, shape or form change or add anything to the model within memory. All additional triangles are generated in runtime and do not need to be saved in videoram. Now go, sit in the corner and be ashamed of yourself. Right next to the OP, who should be spanked all day until his brain grows smarter. |

Devoting art resources without need issues aside, they aren't likely to add a combat role to industrial s/freighters, however they do allow various strategies as far as avoiding destruction.
If you want a "mid-sized" freighter with the marvelous capability to simply jump over a bunch of systems to avoid trouble, or simply jump out of a system without using a gate if it feels nervous, you might consider a jump freighter.
Of course, you'll pay dearly for that capability. To carve a successful niche for yourself in EVE you need to be able to out sell, out produce, out fight,-á out run, or out wit your competitors. If you can do none of the above, your only option is to complain on the forums that somehow you are at a disadvantage using the exact same tool set-áas the rest of the player base. |

Not like we got 4 new destroyers and the venture a few months back, or the gnosis a few days a ago. Nope, no new ships in eve, none at all.
But while we're on the subject, can we get a hull with bonuses to smartbombs? Its the only weapon system in eve w/o any bonus'd vessels, that doesn't seem.......appropriate. |
