Hi.
Got a few suggestions for the game that I would like to share, any constructive feedback is welcome.
1. Converter Modules
Having played my Minmatar character I noticed that if you wanted close in defense on an artillery-boat you needed to train rocketry or missiles on top of the Gun training, I would like to suggest a highslot "converter" that would change any Launcher Hardpoints into Turret ones but in the process reducing the available hardpoint space.
The way I imagine this is that the converter will replace any hardpoint with the opposite type but with a reduction in the available size of the modules. so a cruiser/bc launcher hardpoint becomes a Turret hardpoint which can only fit small turrets.
a Large Turret hardpoint can become a Launcher hardpoint that can only fit Medium or small Launchers.
E.g. these units should only be available to Cruisers and higher, allowing for a Medium-sized Launcher Hardpoint to be turned into a Small-sized Turret Hardpoint, allowing the player to use autocannons / blasters / closerange-lasers as close up defensive damage.
2. Dog-Tag required.
I would love to see a tab added to the Dog-tag info that shows which, if any, items needs the tag in order to be purchased from a Loyalty store.
3. I would like an additional information row added to Survey scanners showing how many m3 an asteroid will take up once mined.

3 - you will be told to calculate yourself, though, I'd quite like it - since I know how much my strips bring in - and I'm quick at division
2 - would be handy, and hopefully not too much code...
1 - no - you want the close in defense - you train rockets to I, it'll take what, 5 hours tops, if you're mapped the wrong way with no implants? |

4. Drone priority targetting.
A submenu for drone settings that would allow you to set up priority targetting.
e.g. a number of available selections like where you can only click one box
"smaller ships first" / "Larger ships first" "closer ships first" (note: if they start to attack a target and another ship gets even closer they should stay on first target til it's dead) "support ships first" ( will let the drones go after the ships using neuts/target disruptors on you first regardless of size)
I am sure others have other ideas for priority targets as well. |

1. Never, EVER mix weapon types on the same ship (ex. short range weapons with long range weapons) unless you are trying to pull off some gimmicky lol-fit (like the "bait Tornado").
2. The damage from a single turret or launcher is not going to fend off a hostile of any kind.
3. That lonely high slot that you can only fit a launcher in... try putting an energy neutralizer there. It is an excellent point defense tool... especially when combined with drones.
Change isn't bad, but it isn't always good. Sometimes, the oldest and most simple of things can be the most elegant and effective. |
