I would like CCP to develop a T2 Orca for us. It will be Red/Black, be capable of firing missiles, it has to hold twice as much as the original T1 Orca, 50% to mining foreman links per skill level, and most importantly, it has to be vertical. I think all industrial players will appreciate this ingenious idea. :)

What I would like to see in a T2 Orca is:
Remove most of its cargo and ore hold Increase its Ship Maintenance Hold
Add a Jump Bridge Generator that only allows you to jump industrial ships, like a Black Ops for Indies.
This would provide a method for high sec miners to get past gate campers and mine some low/null space. |

Her idea is much better than OPs missile idea. Missiles on an orca wth... it's an idustrial ship it doesn't need missiles
But I do like the idea of an "covert ops orca" it sounds interesting. |

Jokes aside, making a "Jump Orca" seems like a neat idea, especially if you mine in a system with no POS or station. Or just like being able to instantly jump

I love the idea of an industrial jump & jump bridge ship. In order to avoid clashing with the current orca or rorqual it shouldn't be able to fit warfare link modules and also shouldn't be able to haul much (as stated) but I also agree it should have a pretty huge SMB (industrial only). You could also have an industrial cyno (like the differentiation between normal and cov ops cyno) which could only fit onto ORE ships. This would give another role to the Venture as well. Industrial scout.
I also love the tears and forum whining it would produce from the small lowsec gate campers who think popping industrial ships is their right. |

Just so you know: Cynos show up on the in game map. Lowsec guys see a cyno, they'll be all over you. |

Uh-huh. I've done plenty of jumping about in EvE. The beauty is that there are a lot of low sec and null sec systems that aren't populated and so with no one there there's no one there to see the cyno. It's a fun game for the indi scout to find a good syYou can certainly bypass the high/low gatecampers and have a much better chance of getting a fleet out somewhere cool to mine.
