Every country has their problems, but I need someone from the outside to see this before they drop down the videos, as has been happening since the past few days ...
I have even seen pictures removed from Imgur ...
Peaceful Venezuelan students get shot by members of the Government P1 , if you see the video you can our our National Guard trying to dissuade the Pro-Government armed squads called "Tupamaros". As people screamed for a Free Venezuela.
This is a shorter one where all u can hear is the Gunshots
I had friends and family in that concentration. They were all unarmed. What happened there was real.
There are also some members of the Military imprisoned, and even here in Panama last night you could hear the banging of pots as our traditional method of protesting against the current Govt of Venezuela.
There are also pictures of how the govt used Military personnel to burn ballot boxes and tamper them
Have to use CNN since some local news outlets have been taken down since yesterday.

But but.... Maduro is all about peace, love, freedom of expression and sticking it to the USA. Surely he would never harm his fellow man?
Your allegations of vote rigging are scandalous, glorious comrade Maduro would never do that. You need to be reeducated.
/sarcasm off.

EDIT I saw those pictures on 4chan yesterday, I dismissed them as people going for "THE HAPPENING" in overdrive... they are actually real?

Pretty much ... I have tons of pictures being spread mostly around twitter of almost everything happening in real time, right now as masses begin to gather in front of the local branches of the CNE (the institution that tallies/manages votes and the whole voting process in the country) to ASK LOUDLY for a vote recount, and the government is herding their own near them looking to spark a conflict and avoid the recount, since all the ballot boxes have been burned/lost.
Tensions are rising and right now, people against the government are on a point of no return. Our current leader Capriles Radonski will either be imprisoned/murdered or be recognized as the TRUE leader of the country, simple as that, no middle ground.
The Oficialism is now using scare tactics and in an attempt to confuse, organizing Pot banging events in FAVOR of the government (pot banging loudly is a common form of protest in Venezuela, the government tries to use it against us to demoralize and sow confusion)
Anyway, Im still hooked to everything happening in my country because my family still lives there and are part of the movement of PEACEFUL protest. The official twitter account of Radonski ( @hcapriles )has been tweeting over and over advocating peace as the Government keeps saying the opposite (even International Observers here have called the Election process due to a recount) , even implying Capriles Radonski is a pawn of foreign powers, he is a homosexual (Chavist Maduro loudly proclaimed his hatred for homosexuals publicly and then had to recant) and even cursing all Venezuelans that dared vote for Capriles Radonski saying they will rot with the curse of "Macarapana"
We are on the brink of Civil War, as there have been some National Guards taking away their uniform and joining the people in the protest against Maduro.
Blood will keep flowing , as it started yesterday. Lots of people even taking this to religious extremes and zealotry is common now on both sides.
A country divided by hatred, run by the Cuban Powers, that was the legacy of Chavez. Inner Sayings of BrujoLoco: http://eve-files.com/sig/brujoloco |

It has begun, the government has issued formal warrants to incarcerate opposition leaders.
The Washington Post decided to post this yesterday
Let-¦s see how this unfolds now.
All I hope is my family, friends and fellow Venezuelans are safe.
If we were a small country in the middle of nowhere, things might be different. But we are one of the TOP Oil suppliers of USA, beating several Middle East countries. Oil has been both a blessing and a curse for us.
All I want is peace. Tensions are high, people are on the brink. I know some people willing to go down in blazes of glory, with knives, rocks, guns and even their bare hands, majority like us tell them to be patient, to go with the current plan of Capriles Radonski-¦s path of PEACE.

Man Brujo, sincerely wish you and your fellow countrymen (and women) all the best and a peaceful outcome.
As a sheltered North-West European, me and the people in most neighbouring countries tend to forget that we're really lucky. Lucky because someone already fought for our peace and democracy. Lucky also because we have people in the media, in jurisdictional positions and even some in politics who still fight for our peace and democracy, so that we don't have to.
I just wonder if the fact that we shut down our efforts to actively maintain our democracy (read: we shut down our brains and let other decide of our faith ... or worse, we vote populists into governing positions) will one day come to bite us in our behinds.

(doh well ) Our record of 'bringing democracy' to nations in Central and South America is not one to encourage confidence. Even before that criminal SOB Woodrow Wilson, we'd long been incompetent meddlers. We don't understand the local culture, the local history (which is utterly crucial to sorting things out, especially in Latin America), or have the patience to sort it out. Better that we stay 'hands-off' and offer what humanitarian assistance we can.
Some of the issues in Latin America can still be traced back to the war of the Spanish Succession - Most Americans don't even know what that was. Tell someone you love them today, because life is short. But scream it at them in Esperanto, because life is also terrifying and confusing.

Well to keep you guys updated, the mass imprisonments are starting to ramp up.
The latest scandal is the Police are FORCING the detainees to sing praises and songs supporting the government and Maduro, which only adds insult to injury (only photos so far, remember situation is very muddy atm)
Homeless people in shelters are being evicted if they show any sympathy for the opposition leader Radonski
And last night, when shown some videos showing how the police are invading private property and shooting/beating people inside , during CNN-¦s interview with a member of the Government he denied the video being real as being probably from Mexico, people acting up, it being shot several years ago or anything, as the twitter account of @fdelrinconCNN (Fernando del Rincon, the CNN Venezuelan reporter stationed in the country) was filling with people giving the name and origin of the video being located to venezuela, barquisimeto and name of author.
The interview had to be cut short as the Official Member of the Government, Calixto Ortega, was beginning to shout CNN was a Imperialist tool of Oppresion against the poor people of Venezuela and that Capriles was a Fascist.
Tinfoil hats aside, from a middle point Capriles has been publicly giving interviews to members of the press around the WORLD, as Maduro has retained the same rethoric of how The USA and the Yankees and the CIA and even little birds tell him he is the PRESIDENTE!
Oh one of the members in the National Assembly was cut by members of Maduro-¦s Cabinet just for failing to recognize the new PRESIDENTE!!! (I feel I am in Tropico 3, also, wow, Maduro has a moustache too)
Also as THIS IS HAPPENING in the country (social and political unrest, unlawful imprisonment, mass firing of workers that voted for the Opposition Leader Radonski, A fujimori style coup in the Assembly and well, CHAOS, the government is doing this:
An animated series of Chavez in Heaven talking to other Revolutionary Angels
Yep, I-¦m not joking. Remember our PRESIDENTE talks to Birds and feels the power of Chavez flowing through him. Inner Sayings of BrujoLoco: http://eve-files.com/sig/brujoloco |

And so , one chapter closes.
The government has been forced to recognize there will be a recount.
The tensions remain, but most of the detainees have been released and calm is slowly coming back.
We will see how things develop, but never underestimate the power of a well orchestrated movement.
Image of the day for future reference.

Former President Pastrana sent a public letter than really made a lot of Colombians angry at the current president (google can translate that quite easily)
Look, this might sound shady, but word on the street is that Santos made a deal with Chavez a few years back, when they were both in the house of our Libertador, Simon Bolivar (our George Washington to give newcomers reference) and they made a pact there. Chavez would keep the Guerrillas out of their country (Colombia since Chavez reforms has grown and boomed and is a much more stable country now since most guerrilla members after being weakened in Colombia were received with open arms in Venezuela) and Santos would support him Internationally.
I could cite and quote several news that show the thread and more or less, everyone down here understands the "pact", and is not such a secret that the WORLD knows Chavez harbored terrorists and Guerrilla Warriors.
If for some reason Canada decided to harbor all local ingrained Paramilitary members of USA and several other social undesirables hard to root out, I dont see why the President there would say "No, omg why ?" . Well, same thing happened between Colombia and Venezuela.
No surprise there from Santos. But for instance, Panama-¦s president declined to acknowledge Maduro, and the letter sent from Panama to Venezuela was not signed nor official. Even the diplomatic attach+¬ that sent it was fired, it caused quite a stir here in Panama.
In short, only people that supported Maduro are those with KEEN interests in FREE OIL and FAVORS.

Well Colombia and Venezuela were at the brink of war a few years ago before "Obama's Cancer Gun" brought down El'Presidente.
Back room deals wouldnt surprise me. But I equally wouldnt be surprised if after the USSR came down that Iran and Venezuela werent the key supporters / funders of FARC. I know Hezbollah is active in that neck of the woods too.
South America really has become the new Europe when it comes to dirty deals between the world powers.

You know, despite all of these tragedies in my country, I always get amazed at how Venezuelans take everything with a HEALTHY dose of humor, seen as bordering on the insane by people from the outside.
From Magic the Gathering cards depicting members of the government that are banned from tourney play do being practical "cheats" , prominent comedians reenacting moments of our history during the Colony to prove a point that none of us are really white european bourgeois but more a mixed population and now ...
THIS ... Thats the voice of opposition leader Capriles Radonski telling people to vent their anger banging their pots with "arrechera" (anger) , now Remixed for your hearing pleasure. A top hit in some radio stations
Man I really miss my weird humorous tribe, even when faced with danger, death, starvation, poverty or pain oblivion, one of us will find a whacky way to make others smile in total irreverence of the status quo.

We can even make Qaddafi more funny.
They say times are hardship bring out the best in people. Maybe this will bring the Venezuelan people out in new creative / cultural ways. One thing is for sure though, if the Chinese cant quiet the people theres no way in hell Maduro is going to be able to.

Had to put this here, as the situation keeps morphing in Venezuela, EL PRESIDENTE ALMOST GETS KILLED YESTERDAY (LOL)
The guy that barged in during the Swearing Ceremony was a man asking the PRESIDENTE for FOOD, BASIC GOODS and a better standard of living ... kinda funny seeing how LAME security was in there, an act full of other heads of state.
EL PRESIDENTE visibly paled ... and everyone had a very very good laugh at him ...
