if the aim is to make a Tengu as difficult to probe as possible then which implants would work best, Halo or Talon. It seems to be Halo to me looking at the bonuses but most of the stealth fits I read recommend Talons. So which are better for max stealth ?

If you're trying to make your ship resistant to scan probes, ECCM sets will give you better results for much less cost. |

As I recall, it's how small the sig radius is + how much sensor strength you're packing, so gravimetric sets + ECCM arrays.
Granted, this won't make you unprobable (nostalgia sigh), but it will make you practically unprobable: It will take someone with all level V skills and a set of implants if you do it right. |

Talons are definitely cheaper, but Halos give you a very nice effective tanking bonus (I am assuming you want the Tengu for plexing/missioning?), allowing you to save ISK on insanely expensive deadspace shield boosters, etc. Malcanis' Law: Any proposal justified on the basis that "it will benefit new players" is invariably to the greater advantage of older, richer players.

The ancillary benefits of Halo's are pretty nice - so find out if you can reach the capped sensor strength/sig ratio with them and your fit, and if so, use them. If you can't, then Talons are the way to go.
I don't know the cap off-hand but google-fu should find it. |
