That's what I was thinking too, especially with the traffic all stopped in the background.
I saw that same setup in Houston on the actual set of "Robocop 2" (I was a background extra). There is much to be said in favour of modern journalism. By giving us the opinions of the uneducated, it keeps us in touch with the ignorance of the community.-á-á-á-á - Oscar Wilde |

Yeah I remember this being a car commercial. Even without the snopes link above the average user should be able to realize that its fake. For starters, both squad cars are right there. One is parked in front of the moving van and the other is down the road just a little and can be seen behind the malibu. The second clue is that each squad car is carrying 4 officers. How often does one see this? One could say that they came from the station or what not but unfortunately the officers in the back seats wouldn't be able to assist unless their front seat partners let them out. What I'm getting at is that one simply does not open the rear door of a squad car from the inside. The last clue is the simple fact that all 8 officers dash right into the bank, which needless to say is not policy. They would be running into a unknown situation putting themselves and any possible hostages in harms way. Not to mention the fact that they, for obvious reasons of the commercial, didn't even bother to contain the area around the bank first, thus putting everyone in the immediate area in harms way as well. Yes I know, I sucked the funny out of the joke. Out of Pod is getting In the Pod - Join in game channel IG OOPE |

did anyone see one of the cop cars was parked across the street when the robbers ran out? parked in front of the box truck. Of course, if you listen to audio, you can here the director talking on a radio...it's a movie, not a real robbery...but funny anyway. |

No, but running straight to where the alarms are and lack of situational awareness (car with people in black clothes outside a bank with an alarm running, having seen a flutter of movement before they turn up) is something that would be expected. Think of it as Intel being used wrong, or being overeager to use fire-power and look badass.

Are you talking about Panama? I'm curious because they way I understood it, at least for Brazil, is that your officers are trained like Special Forces considering what they have to go up against. I was watching a show about military forces across the globe and they were the only civilian crew because they ranked right up there in training and skill. There are special forces trained "cops" and then , we have the "potatoes" that direct traffic and extort bribe money by placing roadblocks.
There-¦s a famous group down here, "Linces" , those guys are mean, lean death machines. They go in groups of 2 per bike, one driver, one gunner with a fully auto set machine gun ready to beat the crap of anyone near "hot spots" in the city and you can see them 24/7 patrolling the city.
See, those are real cops, then we have the potatoes. I was talking about them Inner Sayings of BrujoLoco: http://eve-files.com/sig/brujoloco |

Not far from the truth. Rupert Murdoch is big over here and our tabloids eat American ones for Breakfast. Ashamed to admit it but we have the worst tabloids on the planet who if they had the chance, the Empire would be reborn tomorrow and show the colonies how it should be done. All while telling us why we are cowardly/evil/going to die of cancer and/or immigrants.
The irony is that its used by people more to have a laugh while reading the other papers more than for believing its social commentary, but some of it still bleeds into pop culture. For reference Michael Moore is considered a moderate over here.

He's getting on in years, the Republicans are all but defeated in the Federal system outside of the senate. At this point the best he could do is take on Democrat hypocracies, but I think that goes against his ideology. In short, he won and his time is drawing to a close. Bill Maher seems to be getting more traction though...
