LS,
Error i am getting: No data received Unable to load the webpage because the server sent no data. Here are some suggestions: Reload this webpage later. Error 324 (net::ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE): The server closed the connection without sending any data.
Currently i am having issues that i am unable to reach https://login.eveonline.com This means i cannot access my account and add game time etc. If i do this from my company ISP (verizon) this works fine i can login and do my stuff. So i guess this is an ISP issue.
Also i tried with different browsers. Internet explorer, Chrome and Firefox. Source ip subnet i am coming from is 217.120.192.0 - 217.120.255.255 (dynamically assigned by my provider Ziggo)
For the fun of it i build up a IPSEC VPN tunnel to my work and retried to establish the connection and then it does work. Since i wanted to exclude that the Workstation i play eve on was the issue or the browser.
Is there a change you can have a look why the ip subnet of my provider is being blocked or something? Thanks already.
With kind regards, Rushing

I am also still having these problems. This problem extends to login.eveonline, community.eveonline, and secure.eveonline. I think it also explains why EVEMon and EFT can no longer work with my API.
This is not my PC. Happens on every computer on the network. Nothing about my PC or network changed between when this worked and when it stopped working. What did CCP change about those login pages in preparation for the new launcher?
I am getting tired of none of my petitions or forum posts getting answered. Here is my full explanation forum post: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=3082892#post3082892 |

The current soon old EVElopedia page is giving me this on firefox and IE
The page isn't redirecting properly
Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.
This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies.
It started working again and then started back up hopefully the new SSO system fixes this issue. |

There's still a lot of us having this issue, and we're hardly getting a response from CCP. Worse, you must be incompetent, because you ask us things we CLEARLY covered in our posts. The biggest annoyance is the repeated 'did you try a different browser?' or 'firewall' responses which the OP of these forum posts and petitions has almost always tried and specified.
I've been having this issue for going on 4 weeks now. I think it's also why my API isn't working anymore (happened at same time). If any other people having this login issue can comment on API functionality that'd be great. I can't use EVEMon or EFT since this started.
Here is my latest forum post. Just for giggles... I doubt CCP will read it. https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=3106765
By the way, I've personally confirmed three other people having these issues and have found numerous other people on the forums having apparently similar problems. Give us SOMETHING CCP. |

Just came back to eve, having issues trying to resubscribe. Attempting to access the account management page results in a page with blank broken formatting, the log in button is a java redirect that won't work, and the page generates a 500 error code.
I have attempted this on 2 different computers, on 3 browsers each, as well as hijacking my neighbors unsecured internet and trying on his as well. No luck.
Not sure how I managed to trigger the hours for plex option, but that's running out in a hurry. Dunno if it's the same source as the issues reported here but I figured I'd toss in my two cents worth. I cant very well pay you to play if I cannot buy anything can I ? |

Are you guys also receiving errors with the login page specifically (will the login page load?)?
Also, to clarify my problems more. I tried another network. As I suspected, I can load the login pages at community.eveonline, login.eveonline, and secure.eveonline from another network. I just have the issue behind my home network (same as most of the others in this thread). Also, the launcher works for me as far as updating and everything goes. I just can't login through it. It receives a 324 error trying to connect to login.eveonline, so the login area never appears. |

Finally got some good feedback from CCP (specifically GM Akilian and CCP Atropos). They are now aware of and understand this issue and are working to replicate it and fix it. They actually acknowledged that there is a 'defect' on their end and is 'now a known issue'. I'd post their full replies, but I don't think we're allowed to do that. Suffice it to say, they realize something is wrong and the devs are working to fix it. He said no ETA for when the fix would be done.
They also advised that some players have reported that changing their network MTU to 1492 resolved their problem. They advised you record your current MTU before making changes as changing this could have unforeseen consequences. Personally, I'm going to leave it alone for now in the hopes they get this fixed soon. I shouldn't have to change my network to work for them.
Just glad to know it seems like they're finally taking this one seriously and looking at it. |

Good to know some people are still working on this for us. Unfortunately this fix did not work. I don't find that particularly surprising since our issues have been occurring on every computer on our networks. Changing the IP/TCP is a local fix; the problem is network or ISP level stuff.
Talk to CCP Atropos if you haven't already. We had a good back and forth on another thread. I also submitted detailed ping traces for you guys to hopefully use to find out where things are going wrong. Also, we discovered that the 324 errors do also occur at forums.eveonline. However, we are still able to post because we have login cookies. These login cookies either can pass authentication despite the 324 login error or don't need to be authenticated (I'd guess the former). That could be an important clue.
If some of the rest of you want to check to see that forums is broken same as the others.... use an 'incognito' or private browsing window. These windows ignore your stored cookies (since they create none themselves either), and will let you check this without deleting your cookies (and only way on the forums). |

Same Error 324 issue.
Observed in 3 different browsers and in eve launcher (thus i launch exefile.exe directly).
After reading this topic i downloaded TOR browser to "switch network" and ... it works! So as temporarily solution you can use TOR ( torproject.org ). Since connection is via https - security remains the same. I think you can also try proxy / vpn / anonimizers etc.

I was thinking at first that CCP was filtering IP's too.... I had a problem with API's about six months back, and that seemed to have been the issue. After CCP cleared me off their API filter, it worked again (I made no changes on my end). This was after the API was broken for me for two months (by the way, I was on a different network when I went though that issue). |

So I just found this nifty tool called winMTR. It's basically like pathping in command prompt but nicer and more polished. Anyways, here are the results of me trying to connect to login.eveonline.com

As you can see, after sending 500 packets to each stop along the way, I am experiencing less that 1% packet loss at each stop. I think this pretty much shows it's NOT an ISP issue. So I can connect to login.eveonline.com fine. The only thing I can think of is that some sort of authentication step is failing. WHY? |

As for me, this problem does not affect game client, I can play EVE from home network (through exefile.exe, launcher only to download patches). And access to login.eveonline.com was necessary only to reactivate expired subscription.
Thus the solution I posted above is enough for me and for those with similar needs. |

Yeah I can play EVE through the exe workaround (although I still have to use the launcher for updating). And if I used VPN, I could get the websites working too. But I should be able to login to your websites without using VPN to a network that I don't have control over. And if you remove the exe workaround, then the only way I could play would be to VPN. That is even worse as it could also introduce lag.
In short, your websites used to work fine. You made changes for unified login. Now they're all broke from this network (and many other people's network's). As CCP Atropos and I figured out, the forums only still work for those of us with the 324 Errors because we have stashed cookies that continue to magically work. There could be many more with this issue who can't access the forums. Not to mention, any new player to EVE who wants GIVE YOU MONEY and has this issue won't be able to get it setup if they are having this problem. You could be losing potential players right now and not even know it. |

A Buddy of mine is having problems with his router causing the error 324. He has a Linksys/Cisco RV082 router and his internet is Comcast. If he removes router, it works fine. So he disabled all of the features of the router that is possible to disable, and he is still getting the error. The router firewall is off and all traffic is forwarded to his machine.
He can get into the game just fine launching the executable, but the launcher will not allow him to login. He also can not log into any of CCPs websites.
I am baffled, as we have tried 100 different things and nothing seems to matter in the least. |

Seeing some parallels here.... I am also on Comcast. I don't believe that is the issue. But I am also using a Linksys router, a Linksys WRT54G2. I really don't want to have to try disconnecting the router. There is a lot hooked into it that needs to remain up. The connection is also passing through a separate bridge after the router.
If you think there's something to this and really want more details, I'll go grab model numbers and explain it real well. But it should be noted that nothing changed on this end in the slightest when these problems began. The fact we're both on Linksys routers could be significant. I doubt it's because we're from Comcast, or else there'd be a LOT more people having this issue. Maybe it's even then fact we're on Comcast and the Linksys routers.... just ideas. Hope you can figure out what makes sense.
And Atropos, thanks for letting us know this is still being worked on. That goes a long way. Please let me know when you've got the testing setup done; I'd be glad to try and help you guys. I've already got Cisco VPN software setup for work and school, so passing my traffic through you guys should be no problem. |

I am beginning to think that it is quite possibly a local router or modem-level issue. But to this point, CCP has been unable to provide any details on what the problems could be. As far as I can tell, the login pages use standard ports (80 and 443) with standard protocols (mostly TCP). Nothing there should be causing problems with my equipment (seeing as many other sites use the exact same thing).
Something was added/changed on CCP's end that made things stop working over here. I'd like to remind CCP (who is hopefully still working on this) that the problem extends to fetching API info. Or at least, API fetching stopped working on the network at roughly the same time (and works again when I use a different network).
I would love to freaking know what CCP decided to do to their login pages that no other login page I've come across does. I have sent you guys everything you've asked for and more, including a very detailed Wireshark network sniffer log two days ago. That sniffer log (which was running while I tried to access the login) should tell you guys exactly where the communication train between me and you derails. It should also give you some good ideas on where to look for a fix. But I've heard nothing back about it. What gives? |
