Hello,
I bought into the DUST beta a month or so ago. This came with 40,000 AUR to play with, none of which I have spent.
Although I have had fun playing the DUST 514 beta and love the idea, I just don't think I'm going to have the time to play it enough alongside real life commitments as well as EVE commitments.
Will I be able, either now or in the near future, to transfer my AUR to my EVE character (I understand the exchange rate is somewhat strange), or otherwise turn it into ISK for my miserably poor EVE account?
I have seen plenty of posts about getting ISK or AUR to DUST characters, but nothing about AUR getting to EVE characters. If anyone has simple info on this, or can direct me towards some I would be grateful.
Cheers. |

I am in the same sort of position time-wise in that I really only have enough spare time to devote to Eve OR Dust to play 'properly'. I may try and do Dust as well but it will be difficult.
On the subject of ISK and Aurum transfer between EVE & Dust there is going to be ISK transferring allowed initially at a high tax rate and then dropping as the effect of this on both games is realised. But I am fairly certain that AURUM will not be able to be transferred from Dust to Eve mainly because it is bought at different prices in the two games. Also there is still very little use for Aurum in Eve other than for a very limited selection of items from the NEX store.
I think at some point, presuming CCP do not wipe them from the Dust game database, that the non-Aurum items from the mercenary packs and other special edition equipment may be able to be traded on the EVE side. But we can't be certain of that being possible yet either. |

You can have Aurum on both characters, there should not be an "exchange rate" Aurum is Aurm and ISK is ISK no matter if its on your EVE account or DUST account.
However, as of now, I don;t think it is possible to transfer in-game money of any kind between DUST and EVE players..
If they could, space-rich eve players would be transferring tons of ISK into their dust accounts. http://www.soundboard.com/sb/Very%20best%20of%20Makalu%20Zarya
The best advice I can give any Eve player, new or old, is to never ever ever read the general discussion subforum. It is a cancer on this game and should just be deleted. |

Aurum will never be transferable between EVE players or Dust player or among themselves. While one day you can buy items that will make it transferrable via isk sales inside dust 514 then you could send that isk to Eve online at a taxed rate you wont have much then.
Aside from that if you want to continue to keep playing you can buy PASSIVE Boosters and they should help you not fall to far behind despite your limited play.
