Dock up and station info window resets and plonks itself in the middle of the screen.
Undock and my overview shrinks in size and moves from the top of the screen to the bottom and pushes the box with "warp to/orbit" etc behind another window and almost of screen.
Any fixes or go arounds for this? or just log off at a POS instead lol.
Edit : It seems to be a conflict between windows in the top right of my screen. In space its the overview locked up there. When docked it's the station info with all the functions like repair/agents.
Docking and undocking is borking them..... |

Clear cache, reset window positions (and have fun reconfiguring them the way you like them).
It seems to be caused by the classic problem of windows shuffling around if they overlap in the wrong way. You can fix that bit by turning off snapping and my making sure than every window has a unique position and width and that nothing shares an edge with anything else.
That solution still means that you can't keep them in their current positions, though, so if you absolutely have to have them in a specific way, you probably need to go the reset route. We have a thread down in Issues, Workarounds & Localization about that.
There is a workaround and someone opened a petition. Chribba: null-sec is scary! Surfin's PlunderBunny: I think lowsec is scarier... spent about 5 hours in null and saw one other person in that time. We spent over an hour trying to out afk-cloak each other |

Clearing cache, resetting window position doesn't work, spent half an hour trying it on a couple of accounts to get their tabs the same.
Let me know when you fix this bug that was reported a week ago on test server so I can play again.
Thanks CCP.
Nevermind, can dock straight to CQ without having to go through hangar. Good effort though. |

i get it on one client only.... maybe dual boxing clients on one pc causes it. Everytime you buy something that says "made in china" you are helping the rising unemployment in your own country unless your from china, Buy locally produced goods and help create more jobs. |

We've alaready waited about 3yrs for a fix to this, what's another 6 months?
This is an old bug that keeps happening, it tends to settle down a bit for a while then pop up again when we get a patch, been happenign for years. It's somehting to do with pinning and snapping windows so their edges are touching. Got to admit though when they got rid of spinning and added cq's it almost totally went away and now it's back with a veangance. |

Workaround doesn't work because if I forget once to go Options screen when dock/undock my overview/selected Items/station services goes messed up. They start dancing/overlap/resizing. FFS fix it ASAP. |

In addition to resetting your window positions, also set your snap distance to 3. Windows reposition themselves because they use other windows they are snapped to as a frame of reference, and if another window is taking up one window's snap position, the rest all get pushed around. Going snap 3 will free up more snap positions so there aren't as many conflicts pushing windows around.
edit: also, I miss the old days when the station information panel wasn't an actual window. Not sure why it was made a positionable window to begin with because that change didn't do anything good for the game, just caused these snap errors. |

We are aware of this bug and are working on fixing it. In the meantime, please try the following workaround: move the 'Station Services' window to another area of the screen away from where the overview would display.
Please accept our apologies for this somewhat annoying bug; a fix will hopefully be deployed in the nearest future.

This turd only happens to me for a T3 ship. It's been around before, guess CCP has new shortbus monekys again. No wonder all the old players I knew have empty faces. Incarna - exceedingly pointless - one cancellation already, *** going for two now.... |

"reset window positions" worked for me. Some guy in local actually helped me with this. Wish I could remember his name. It's not often that someone in local is helpful, probably should have sent ISK or something.
I use the "clone eve" tool, I can't wait to login and reconfigure everything. Maybe I'll start exporting and importing my settings. haven'y tryed that on the Mac yet. Hopefully it works, I just got everything the way a want on both clients. -á

I just use the CQ in the interim untill the fix is out. I've used it for months so I can use it a bit longer. CQ doesn't have any funky windows dancing and snapping going on. A small band aid for those who don't mind waiting a tiny bit longer for their ship spinning fix. |

+1 for this bug. Windows re-arrange themselves both in-station and upon undocking. I love how people are freaking out and threatening to unsub over what is, at best, a minor post patch annoyance. Spitfire has already posted a potential workaround and mentioned they're working on an official fix.
its rather difficult to properly QC every case in a game as complex as EVE, so these things are bound to slip through. Give CCP a few weeks to work out a solution before you start bitching about QC and unsubbing.
Lets give them the benefit of the doubt for a bit. They DID give us spinning back, and seem to be on the right track again. |

I understand you trying to defend, but c'mon how long would realize that windows dancing? Just dock/undock/redock and you see it. +1 to judge for poor QC.

This is indeed an incredibly annoying bug and we sincerely apologize for that -- we will try to deploy the fix ASAP.
In the meantime, another workaround is to go to ESC Menu, General Settings and under Windows set the GÇÿWindow Snap DistanceGÇÖ to GÇÿDonGÇÖt SnapGÇÖ.

Yeah to those of us who use multiboxing software (the allowed ones, not going to name names...) this is really annoying. Sometimes the only difference between a budding genius and a blooming idiot is where they chose to take a stand. |
