Remove all moons or just the ability to anchor a POS.
Before everyone screams and cries foul, listen. We've done it gents and have figured out w-space. We have it down to a science. We know how to manipulate the holes, we know how to map them. We know who is in what hole the minute we pop it. We know that if we roll a C5/C6 then a C5 and we're looking for a HS just to re-roll and keep going. We know how to roll to near a hub and get fuel.
We can store every ship for every possibility. this is good in that it allows us to fight but also we can hoard like you wouldn't believe. We make it so you need a fleet of hundreds to put us at risk.
We're slowly seeing w-space develop some nasty null habits. Blues. Sieges. Blobs. Reo-timed fights. Turtling.
But Vince, we need those POSs to sustain ourseives!
Never fear, my servants of Bob. There's a solution.
Introduce a hiveship as discussed in many threads already.
A hiveship is like a mobile POS. It's anchorable, huge, and requires fuel to run in its deployed mode. It's not only useful in w-space but also in null. It has a good chunk of HP but a shorter stront timer and you can't overlay a septillion POS mods ready to online/offline when you want. It'll have some nasty point defenses but the main thing is that it's mobile. Moving it needs a pilot. When it's deployed it doesn't.
This can be deployed ANYWHERE. Not just a moon, or a planet, but even in a safespot. Imagine, for once having a fight that's not on a gate, hole, or POS!
Attached are your usual CHA/SMA/CSMA. No you can't mine from them.
In this you also remove the ability to build capitals in a C2/C1. That's a stupid ability anyway.
Eternally pod anyone who brings up stabilizers.

Make black hole systems symptomatic in generating more outbounds (as much as I dislike Cipreh he had a really good idea)
Black holes are generally regarded as useless. However, they are amazing when it comes to transit and moving stuff. Make it so these systems become crossroads, where you have an average (not max) of 5-6 outbound connections.
Increase EOL timer on crit holes, randomly to 0-3 hours.
This is one of my favorites. If your hole goes crit, it becomes very unstable and the EOL timer shoots all the way over. this prevents intentionally critting holes which is usually done because the other person is an asshat. Not a diplo.-á

Hmm..
"No Towers in W-space" ... Nothing for someone else to burn down?
"No Capitals in C2 systems" ... C2 entities can't use caps to defend their homes?
This sounds like someone had stuff burned, and then went to retaliate, and got stomped again.

hmmm, lets not change too much on w-space.
I totally agree to the violent acts against stabilizers.
Also one could make black holes useful... maybe.... don't know... maybe... maybe by removing the crazy agility bonus?!
About the other changes you would like to see, i would rather not like to see them. W-space at its current state is, in my eyes, the by far best game experience when it comes to small to medium sized fleet stuff.

The only change that I can semi-agree with is some wormhole life variation. Having a set life is boring. Even a wormhole lasting 4 hours could shake things up.
Or at least add variation to wormhole lives, so that one could last 12-20 hours instead of 16. Then set the EOL timer to start at 2h before the WH dies as opposed to 4. |
