I've been soloing C2 anomalies in a Cyclone for a while now. I have BC V, so I know that the Gnosis probably can't (shouldn't) compete on quite the same level, but I want to make it work.
My preference is for a projectile fit and my shield skills are much better than my armor skills, but so far the 220mm AC passive shield fit I've been experimenting with has been underwhelming. Does anyone have a suggestion for a better projectile/shield loadout?
I have AWU4 and otherwise perfect fitting skills. |

I didn't want to bias people towards just suggesting small changes. I'm open to the idea that I'm fitting the ship entirely wrong. Like maybe I should be going artillery? Or active tanking it?
Anyway, here's the fit I tried and didn't like. This fit uses up almost all the CPU, but has over 500 spare grid. I like being able to fit the cloak, but will swap it for a probe launcher when wandering afield from my home wormhole. I'm open to fits that want to use the utility high for something else though.

From what I can see it's got serious cpu issues. Almost requires a co-proc in low to fit anything, also it's just not a very good ship. 5 effective turrets, almost all regular BCs will outclass it.
Also that fit is.......
I won't say it but let's just say you don't know how to tank a ship.
First decide what type of tank you are using: shield
secondly decide what type of shield tank you are using (small hint: buffer does not work in pve, especially in wormholes). |

I wasn't trying to buffer. I was trying to passive regen. I think that the LSE IIs buy me more regen than anything I could fit in their place? |

the problems arent the extenders: it's the rigs.
If you want passive recharge you need purger rigs and shield power relays in the lows
And I apologise if you found my comment snarky, I just try and refrain from spoonfeeding where I can, it's much more satisfying when you figure something out by yourself (at least I think so). |

Also with the damage bonus to drones you kinda need to use mediums to make up for the lacking turrets. |

From the fits I've seen, a lot of the damage comes from drones, which probably isn't a good idea for a ship to use in WHs. Medium drones will be eaten alive. |

I think it was probably that you acted like his fit was completely ********, when in fact it was a perfectly reasonable fit except for the fact he booped up the rigs. A minor detail really. This Space Intentionally Left Blank |

Try actually fitting one and flying it, and stop EFT Warrioring... I fit a T2 arty/armor fit this morning, and had zero CPU, zero cap, and zero power issues whatsoever.

The Gnosis has very generous fittings and you can easily fit 720s and an armor rep. If I was to fit one for a C2, I'd go with something like this (no eft right now):
Highs 6x HAM II 1x Core Probe Launcher II
Med 10MN AB 3x LSE II 2x Invuln II
Low 2x BCU II 1x DDA II 2x SPR II 1x PDU II
Rigs 3x CDFP
Drones: Hammers x5 Hobs x5
I'm pretty sure it fits and the PDU is required for PG and cap or else you'll cap out just running the hardeners, it has enough tank for C2s and pretty good dps (pretty much on par with other BCs). So all in all not bad, but if you aren't using the scan bonus then don't bother, a regular BC will do just as well if not better. The only real glaring thing is that its insanely slow. If you want a projectile fit I'd go with ACs for C2s rather than arties, the only things that are at range are towers and BS, both of which you can burn to while popping cruisers and frigs that are close range and then the higher dps will make up for the lack of range (drones can be sent out pretty far though and are relatively safe from aggro from BS/Sentries)

First decide what type of tank you are using: shield
secondly decide what type of shield tank you are using (small hint: buffer does not work in pve, especially in wormholes). It's very tight on CPU with a shield tank, so you want to fit the least CPU intensive guns you can find (lasers, for example). Likewise, if your guns use lots of power, you need to avoid armour (especially plates). |

Where'd you get the 7th highslot from?
Also,if you were to actually try that fit I think you'd be rather disappointed with the passive shield tank. It's pretty bad.
Might as well just use a Drake. |

Are you really going to risk that ship at WH-space? Personally I'd love to fly it there forever... if I had a guarrantee I'd be able to get a new one (read: if it wasn't a limited edition ship but a faction one). |

So I put that fit together in EFT, and it's not as bad as I was expecting. Obviously you need to remove that 6th HAM (it only has 5 launcher hardpoints), and you need to swap the PDU for a CPU upgrade, but that brings you to (with all Vs):
287 HAM dps with T1, 20km 330 HAM dps with CN faction, 20km 387 HAM dps with Rage, 17km 258 HAM dps with Javelin, 30km
292 drone dps with hammers 183 drone dps with Hobs
So your paper dps is okay. Might have trouble applying it with the slow speed (sleepers will just kite you), and with such a big chunk of your damage in drones you'll have to be careful with them getting blown up.
Tank is 178 peak passive regen with plenty of buffer.
I still suspect you'd be better off overall with a Drake, if you care more about the missiles...or even a Prophecy, if you care more about the drones. |

How big of a problem is ammo for you? That'll basically decide between artillery and AC fits IMO. If ammo isn't a problem, do something like this:
Gnosis 5x 425mm AC II, Probe Launcher 10mn MWD, Web, Pith C-Type LSB, Invuln, Cap Rechargers 3 RF Gyro, 3 TE II Collision Accel, Shield Resist Rigs or CCCs (depending)
You want to target ~40% cap stable IIRC. No, I don't know if it fits but the Gnosis has stupid crazy amounts of fittings space. If you run out of CPU, trading a TE won't be that big of a loss.
