Having recently reread the book, it stood out to me that Concord HQ was destroyed, and apart from a wreck of a station the most important outcome appears to have been the subsequent invasion by and destruction of the Ammarian Empire by Eldar forces.
It would be expected that the destruction of the station would have lead to massive sanctions from Concord against the Minmatar. And likely a fair few issues from the Gallente too, but war now that was started by the Minmatar makes them less likely to impose any sanctions.
Any thoughts? Anything I missed from the fallout? Seems to be precious little to work with.

Eldar? ****, and I left my Bolter outside...
Nah, seriously now, it's one of the aspects of the story that was completely left out. Like the Caldari invasion of Gallente space that happened at the same time. Seems like CONCORD just told them to be good boys and hasn't even rebuilt the station. So, as far as I know, consequences were absurdly small. Then again, it was Tony G., not much can be expected from him.
It seems like the new team is starting to sow the seeds to correct this. We've seen in the last chron how CONCORD was helping the Gallente in their efforts to retake Caldari Prime, maybe it's their way of apologizing and saying "hey, we didn't do nothing for years, but now it's time to set things right!". Seriously though that's kind of lame, yet another thing at the feet of T.Gonzales? Wouldn't the destruction of Yulai station and subsequent dilapidation render Concord a fraction of its former self? It was a FTL comms hub for Concord and what allowed them to us Jump Drives between systems isn't it? I may have misremembered that though

It should have had dozens of consequences, impacts raging from the small to the inmense... but it didn't. Then again, we're talking about the same plotline that brought a clone to rule the Empire, an unknown man to centralize power in the State, a broker of almost god-like powers, and an Elder Fleet out of nowhere... and, in the end, left a difficult to justify Faction Warfare. So, as it stands, that's just one of the many things he left without justification, nor logical consequences. :( Sepherim Catillah Praetoria Imperialis Excubitoris Liuteneant Ex-Imperial Navy Imperator Commander |

To be fair, it had a LOT of promise. The existence of the Elder fleet makes sense, the logic of destroying Yulai station as an opening move to an invasion of the Ammar Empire. If I were to rewrite it Yulai would have been destroyed by a Capsuleer fleet, not Minmatar though. I almost wish they would make a Film of it with a better written plot.
Jamyl... makes kind of sense I suppose, the Rouge Drone mcguffin does not however, but I liked the idea of a Ceaser rising form within the Ammarian military ranks to dethrone the Chancelor to fight off the Minmatar raid of Ammarian space. If Jamyl had been a commoner that rose in a coup d'etat to dethrone a prentender on the throne, the Heirs defending their own Capitals in fear of the Barbarian hordes at the gates while Rome burned....
But yea, I'm only an amateur writer and those would be my adaptations to the existing plot
Funnily enough if you Google destruction of Yulai, this thread is the top response.

I may have misremembered that though Until Tony invented the "subspace network", the majority of FTL communications in New Eden - or at least all communications we capsuleers use: chats and email - would have gone through Yulai.
Also, it's the central diplomatic hub of the universe. Even on an off day it'd be packed with ambassadors and their staff from all over the cluster.
Tony only had a cursory grasp on the details of EVE lore and the repercussions of making new **** up.

I've forgotten now, but I think maybe the Yulai station was back in action in Templar One? I'm not sure, but I vaguely recall some of the CONCORD action happening in Yulai. |

Oh, I'm sure there's some sort of CONCORD presence in Yulai, but that's the problem (as Horatius mentions): The Tonification of the Eve universe resulted in a lot of loose ends from a lot of random episodes.
Which, come to think of it, is a good way to look at it. As an example, for those of you who remember the Elarel attack by the U.D.I., that single event had wide ranging effects over a period of years. Some could say it represented the beginning of the fall of President Foiritan. The event was obviously one chapter in a very long story that touched on many areas.
The Minmatar attack on CONCORD HQ, on the other hand, feels much more like an off-storyline episode of a T.V. series. It was dramatic and entertaining, but had little effect on what happens throughout the series as a whole.

I think I remember a CONCORD actor discussing in the last months that the in-game model of the station is still destroyed because CONCORD had other more important places to invest its money, or something like it.
