No, it will die out again. Give it a couple of days people will stop jumping on the bandwagon like the last one. |

These is all just petty little things compared to the reasons, that sparked the Jita riots. Certainly worthy to voice your opinions about, but doing an ingame protest over this would just cheapen the original event. |

the jita protests happened because of a proposed change in design philosophy that fundamentally destroyed the sandbox the idea was "money exchanged for commodities", bypassing the manufacturing process, and with it, the need of interaction between players.
so no, in no way this is anywhere near the level of outrage "golden ammo" generated.
so either you weren't there, or you have no idea what those protests were about.
losing the login screen, albeit a nuisance to some, is more of nostalgia blow to most. similar to when CCP announced they would ditch the old character avatars completely. people, instead of protesting needlessly, adapted. some went as far as putting down their own money to develop, and host, websites that kept a database of the old avatars.

Everytime something changes and there is a slight bit of whine these days, people start screaming *omg, Jita riots!* right away.
Besides, the riot would lose its meaning if they became common place. |

I am mostly just seeding the idea.
I was there for the protests and do know what it was really about.
However, as seen in the other threads, there are a lot of angry people.
If I can create an idea for content while giving people a way to outlet their frustration based on this patch, hooray.
Mostly, its 3 AM and I am bored.

not really.
if people are actually that bothered by something this trivial they need to find a new hobby.

A cash shop will cause a riot, especially if it directly influences the in game economy. Chronically neglecting to fix and update the actual game in favor of WiS get's people to grab the virtual pitchforks.
Removing the Login screen at worst get's me to post a rage topic on my blog... if I had one.
I kinda liked the login screens, it's a shame they are going to a launcher log in, GW2 also had a nice login screen and they removed that in favour of an ugly client based one as well.... |

The Jita protests were caused by deep seated discontent over long neglected flawed/bugged game content.

Lol. No. Eve is doing great right now. Its philosophically and mechanically excellent right now, and the future shows no sign of that letting up. Yeah CCP screws the pooch sometimes, but its usually on minor details like QA or FW. Little things nobody cares about.
But on a serious note they're doing great on the big picture stuff. That's what really matters to us. We'll fight and argue and debate the points, but most of us are comfortable knowing the course is straight. So no, there's no burn jita coming. Possibly never again.
Also I think as much of a spectacle as burn jita caused, it was the voting with our wallets that really struck home. A lot of players, myself included, cancelled our accounts in protest during the monocldgate(a funny name considering the monocles were actually the one form of micro transaction we were okay with. I see no reason to riot except for the fact that the launcher update seems to have reset all the settings. Dafuq is the reason for that to happen? |

I am going to have to agree with you on all of that.
However, who can resist trying to rock the boat a bit?
Content is content.
While I agree that NOTHING like the magnitude of the Jita protests will probably ever happen again, its hard for me to not want to try atleast.

i don't really get why every one was so upset. for those of us that never use the launcher because it's just more unnecessary clicking, nothing changed.

Pick a better boat. The jita protests were huge and impressive, but not in a fun way. They demonstrated the importance of the player but they weren't a spectacle anyone wants to repeat. You wanna rock the boat? Do something new. Then start blog about it. Bonus points if you **** someone off. This Space Intentionally Left Blank |
