Eleese, I don't think anyone would have a problem being shot in someones home territory when they're attacking it, everyone operates NBSI policys there and when people are in those territorys, odds are either your opponents will kill them or they are helping your enemy.
Thing is PB itself really has always been a highway with alliances and neutrals using the space for transit, ratting and (very) limited mining as no-one really claims it and thats different from killing anything in an alliances claimed space.
*chuckles*
NBSI policys across ALL 0.0 that an alliance travels in is easier to enforce, "safer" for the average PvPer a he knows he can expect engagement and generates more kills for PvPers on the whole which is partly why NBSI has become the accepted norm for most 0.0 alliances.
Anyho, tbh, I had expected this kinda announcement from ASCN a while back when they began their foray towards OR/PB if one hadn't already been made and I missed it?

Ekliptika is not G nor IRON and we have no formal standings with them.
For the record, EKP has never asked for compensation from CYVOK either. When Waagaa's fleet ganked a lone EKP Dominix in EKP sovereign space, the goodwill we have had for Celestial Horizon dating back before EVE to E&B evaporated.
CYVOK we no longer care either.

That was the problem.
I think you would have been more succesful if you had actually attacked G and IRON. But you were just content killing everything you saw with your tech 1 zerg rushes in pureblind.
To me its all poor excuses to just kill things. You thought you'd get away with it by assulting an area so far from home. But you were wrong.

The MC generally did not operate NBSI in 0.0 until we came to the north where every man and his dog would open fire at you at the drop of a hat. In order to protect our pilots, we had to put that aside and operate as NBSI. Something about the North brings out the NBSI in you . . . and thats not just because NBSI are there. *grins*
Though tbh, I think nearly every entity operates like this now with the exception, possibly, of G, CVA and a couple others. They accept they will occasionally loose ships to inidents like that, but it doesn't happen again as the negative standings are set against the agressors.
Ah well. Diddna get annoyed, just copy any humorous mails and then delete.

Let me put it this way: I'm the leader of one of the more visible groups in the game and that damn mail icon almost never stops flashing. Don't even get me started on the random request to convo windows that pop up... Even so, I'd be willing to bet I don't get 30% of what Cyvok has to deal with on a daily basis. Even though Cyvok started this thread, there are several people in EVE who could probably copy and paste it into a brand new thread with their name on it instead.
The fact is that the guy plays the game at a different level than most people. There's a reason the Hobbitsses are so fanatical in their devotion to the man. He doesn't post often on these forums so when he does it's probably worth taking note of.
Except those times I disagree with him. You can ignore those posts!

I always try to be helpful to members of the EvE player base regardless of who they are. I cannot even count the number of players I have bought new ships for our given ISK to, in order to get them back on their feet. But I respond VERY poorly to threats from 8 and 10 man Corps because they lost a hauler and demand 50M ISK from me "or else".
I am writing this on the forum because in the last week I have received over 20 EvE mails, most demanding compensation. I am done wasting my time with such things. You enter 0.0 at your own risk, I am not responsible for your loss.
I think you will find this attitude pervasive among all those that live and operate in 0.0.
In Short. Unless you have a valid reason (like having a +5 standing with ASCN and still getting killed by our members) I will for now on delete and ignore all EvE Mail concerning ASCN members destroying the ships non allied forces in 0.0.

I would just like to point out that CYVOK has not announced a change to ASCN rules of engagement. I won't list them here, but we definitely do not NBSI in all of 0.0. He's only announced a consistent policy on reimbursements from the alliance.
If ASCN moves into 0.0 space to pvp with other groups, it is possible to get positive standings set for your corp or alliance through the normal means. For example, Jericho Faction and ISS immediately come to mind as pilots that didn't appear in my overview in ec-p8r.

EKP never even claimed space while waagaa's account was active. |

So Cyvok Glad luck in your quest to find a little peace as CEO and big time guy.
