Last night JF sent a small patrol out toward Ec-. It was made up of three pilots in a Rax a BB and Stilleto.
We headed to l-t and noticed a large group of hostiles in teh system. Airing on the side of caution we headed back to X-7 and huuged the gate there. After a few minutes we headed back to L-t. Just as we jumped through 2 Octavian Vangaurd indies landed on the gate and jumped through. Needless to say we follwed. Unfortunatly I was not fitted with an mwd so my progrees back to the gate was hampered. However the other two had no such problems.
Out 2 pilots engaged the 2 Octavian Indies and then poof like magic they wee gone.
I had just back through the gate and then proceeed to fit for probes. This operation was hampered by other hostiles entering and engaging our pilots but thats another story.
I was once accused of logging during the CVA war but in actual fact my mainboard was on its way out and my eve connection was not too stable.
Now if There was one pilot that vanished I'd give him/her the befefit of teh doubt but 2 hmmmm.
I have a few questions
Is this honourable behaviour becoming of the so called "upstanding Razor alliance"?
Is the logout timer working?
This is not inteded to Flame - I have not named any pilots - but please Razor tell your pilots if they are to maintain any respect within the eve community and let your pilots know that this "is not the the done thing". warping to a SS and logging fine. Warping to a station and logging fine. staying in a staion all night fine. Gate camping all night fine. But logging, Hmmmmm
Its like wearing Jeans and a t-shirt on the Golf Course. Its just "not the done thing"

Smells like flamebait.
Sounds like flamebait.
Looks like flamebait.
It must be flamebait.
It doesn't matter wether or not you name the pilots involved as you have already named the corporation which they belong to.
In effect you have just flamed/belittled their whole corporation.
It wouldn't have been so bad if you had actually named the pilots involved, even though it would still have been flamebait.

It does. If you log whilst jumping there is no log out timer iirc and so it does sound as though they logged (or suffered a very convenient ctd) whilst jumping.
Anyway, first post it right, this is flamebait and will be locked in a second.

Bummer about the MWD thing there buddy. Otherwise, I must say it was a really actionfilled event.

If they had wcs why did they need to log?
Aight! Indeed. Valid questions.. this is a real mystery! I'm as flabbergasted as any. What happened here really?

Agreed. I will personally find these freaks within our ranks. I mean, as you say, if we are to have any "respect within the EVE community" we can't have these dodgy hauler pilots instajumping all over 0.0 and then just vanishing like *poof* (both at the same time) when you line up for the kill. Its bad rep and don't look good on a t-shirt. I'm saddened and upset that we have these kind of people within our ranks!
However, I think you guys would have greater success of getting a fight and not having people vanishing like *poof* if you attacked something with guns on it. A bit more risk involved though as we can see here
But once again Jericho Fraction has turned stones and let the real dirt in EVE surface. For all to see. Great work! Let it be publicly known that Razor Alliance had two haulers that mysteriously vanished whilst being chased. As an eyewitness reported: "poof like magic they wee gone".
Can we get a followup on this please?

Much more worrying is the fact that two pilots were flying indies! Let it be known that carebearing is NOT acceptable in razor. Anyone found in possesion of a hauler will be dragged over hot coals and ordered to tackle assault frigates with ibis's and velators for the remainder of there career.
Honestly, what were they thinking? There isn't anything worth hauling in Pure Blind anyway Except maybe some soil from the Mordu's agent. ==================== There is 10 types of people in this world... Those who understand binary, and those who don't. |

So, to recap, JF made this thread to accuse RAZOR for 2 industrials that where somewhat "engaged" and then cloaked and logged off...
I like the "poof like magic they wee gone" part.
Oh and they have a problem with jeans and a t-shirt also. Hmmm...
On a sidenote it was an interesting read, without too much philosophy.

lol, this shouldn't be locked, it's hilarious
The whole thing is obviously a lie, and I can tell you all why.
Razor operates in 5ZXX-K as a base of operations. Any hauling we are doing is going to be to and from there, with empire space in Saranen or Torrinos. When we head either way through L-T, we use only the R6 gate or the O-N gate. Going in to X-7 adds more and much longer jumps.
The only reason a hauler would ever go into X-7 from L-T is as bait, or set up as a Battle Badger (But not Battle Bestowers, they're for noobs)
Once again, Jericho can't affect anything in space, so they try to come on GalNet for a fight.

Right where do I start
This is a personal post and no way associated with JF - just a gug-bind of mine.
The point here is "its poor etiquette" to log regardless whether or not your in an indy or a BS. And I must admit I was as surprised as anyone to see two lone indies in x-7 must have been loaded with inties or something valuable to log so hastily.
I have no problems with Jeans and t-shirts (I am wearing them right now at work). The point there was in Europe (anyway) its poor ôEtiquette" to wear such attire on a Golf course. Just like Tennis pros donÆt go to Wimbledon wearing cycling gear (some might like it û but it aint going to happen).
Etiquette is not a rule per say but a desire to achieve something without imposing a load of restrictions. What will happen if people keep logging is ôthat CCP will leave you there if you logö. This will only hurt people that experience lag/disconnection issues
And regarding the CVA thing û I was named and it caused a lot of bad blood between our corps from what was a fun war to begin with. I was travelling in a scorpion with a rack of wcs (yes I admit to use then for travelling). So why would anyone need to log with instas and wcs. I never have or never will log off.
What is the point ? All that will happen if this continues is that CCP will leave everyone lingering in space whether they crash or log off. This results in the innocents suffering.
Conclusion this practice must stop û how does one stop it û peer pressure from within your corp/alliance.

These things happen to be honest. People log all the time and given they'd have been completely toast if they hadn't I can't really find it in my heart to blame them too much. Sure its lame, but I guess its lamer with a combat ship than it is with an indy. Speaking personally I find it much much much more annoying when I'm killing a battleship and it logs and magically avoids my scrambler to warp off somewhere. Thats a bug I hope gets fixed soon.

Right a few issues to clear up
a) Not a JF Propaganda campaign - a personal thing
b) I have nothing against Jeans and t-shirts - I am wearing those right now at work. My point was that due to Golf Ettiquette you dont wear Jeans/t-shirt. Just like tennis pros dont turn up at wimbeldon in cycling gear. Or test cricket players dont wear a Joey the clown oufits.
c) I was once accused of this which casued a storm and soured relationships with the CVA as a result. (I eventually did find my problem - I needed a new board and processor) Not that we need to sour relationships with Razor any more than the current state of affairs.
d) It is the Truth (No lies) and its Nothing personal - it just happened to be Razor pilots. Maybe they were setting up a honey trap but found us there already. I dont know. All I know is one was engaged and both suddendly left local. Make your own minds up.
e) I was appealing to razor and others (who i am sure are decent blokes/gals) to convey that the practise of logging is undesirable and an exapmle of poor etiquette and should be frowned upon.
My whole point here is that this practice (who ever does does it)cant continue.
Why ?
Ans: If it continues to happen CCP will just leave people where they logged off. This is not fair to people that have genuine disconnection problems. For example I Crash regularily in busy systems such as Jita (or Yualai in the old days). But in 0.0 I am fine uneless the data load is very big.

Yah its an honest point to make Wilf I'm not getting at you, I'm just kinda laughing at a lot of the hypocrisy of people saying "omg we never log" - I've seen it happen so many times I've lost count and I've never done it but then again, I always fly combat ships or disposal indies I don't care about. Logging is sucky and lame, but I can kinda understand some new players moving their wealth about in 0.0 being tempted to log to escape certain death. Maybe they do need a little more education (or escorts) from their alliance mates?
Just a thought.

Well Jas if you cant afford to lose a ship dont bring it to 0.0.
Normally indies have an escort - if you cant afford to lose your cargo dont be lazy and bring in a small ship many times.
I made my early isk trading in pirate infested areas of lonetrek. Never once lost an indy Mind I HAve lost lots of other ships - but no point complaining cas no one is going to listen (or look in the case of eve forums).

I don't know what it is.
What I do know is that it is not a sanctioned Jericho Fraction post.
This one is.
RAZOR: in IC forums we have an IC agenda - which you are free to think of in any terms you choose.
This is not an IC forum so I will state we have no OOC agenda to 'smear' RAZOR. Please stop saying this all the time, Fred0, it is not true.
Wilf: you really need to consult Directors before posting something like that in a Corporation-oriented forum like this one. This is not a personal forum - things posted here reflect on JF.
At this point in time, Jericho Fraction repudiates the OP post and gives it no credence as we as a corporation know nothing about it.
It will not be revisited at any future point.
As usual, JF individuals can say what they wish, as we are a free-speech corporation.
I'm asking, as Voice of the Freecaptains, for JF pilots to consider not posting in this thread any more.
