It allows you to apply your vested intrest, training (personal and character) and teamwork in a way no other virtual world can.
And i think most importantly, no matter how powerful you get/buy/train to be, you can be killed by someone with a better setup/better timing, so to be "good", you always have to be on your toes.

3. The WoW guild I was in made the mistake of putting a banner ad to EVE on the guild bulletin board. I miss them kinda.
2. There's no danged orcs or dwarves or elves or mages or kobolds. I did that for 6 years and I'm soooo burnt out on em.
but more than anything... 1. It blows me away that the old vector graphics Elite is now an MMORPG!!! Had to try it and now I'm hooked. I kinda miss the rotating docking door though... I played this game on my Commodore 64!! freak out.

1. No bloody elves, dwarfs, etc 2. It's addictive. 3. It's the best of the MMOs.
That said, I'm not sure how much longer I'll be around, the constant cycle of nerfing is starting to wear me down. _______________________________________________ There is no such thing as too much cynicism

1) It has a large helpful community. 2) The Dev team really care about the game. 3) It's a "dream came true" for a science-fiction freak like me.

1) My friends play 2) It doesn't require much time investment, (and I got incredibly lucky with research). 3) The constant evolution of the game. Lately, I find the evolution of the game more interesting than the game itself. :P
4) It keeps my computer stable while I browse forums (Yeah, my computer is quirky). |

1. Actual loss in pvp, if someone dies they feel the effects and aren't right back into the fight 2 minutes later in the exact same great condition they were.
2. Developer feedback and having the original devs, and feeling like they actually care about you, rather than other mmo games where they hire customer service people who know absolutely nothing.
3. Freedom... the whole sandbox idea, even though lots of people complain it isn't good enough, compare it to any of the competition (i've played all the competition as well), and there is nothing that can even compare to eve. I am just sad I never knew about it when it just went live.

1. It's fun 2. It's the closest thing to Pax Imperia Eminent Domain that I have found and I love that game. 3. I am no longer playing the other MMORPGS, EVE is different enough (see number 2) that it keeps my interest every day, there are so many aspects to the game and they complement all other aspects of itself. My hat is off to the makers.

1. I love the EVE Universe. In all it's complexity and RL resemblance. Everything about it combines RL and SciFi for an astounding experience.
2. It's technically complex and easy to get really involved in.
3. The Playerbase is the best I have ever seen.
