Uncloak, one-button launch probes, recloak. Hit scan to move probes away from system center to last saved location (in deep space).

But why?
Makes it harder to see what type of ship just entered your system and starts to scan. I don't have a strong opinion on whether that's good or bad, although I don't see what motivated them to make this change. . |

No idea. Personally, I jam the PrtSc. button any time something decloaks. That way, if I need to, I can open my shortcut to the screen caption folder and check the ship type/pilot name there. http://www.TalocanUnited.com |

I'm sure my client was complaining that I couldn't cloak while I was >2.5K away from my probes. But I'll check that thread out. HTFU!...for the children! |

Well it's in the patch notes for 1.02 which went live only an hour ago.

I meant seeing the ship on d-scan before it recloaks. When you're at the hole, seeing the ship type before it recloaks should be easy enough ;) (I also use the PrntSc but to get the pilot's name which can be hard to remember) . |

Seems to be a change meant for dummies who launch probes while sitting still then grumble because their cloak doesn't work. |

Yea if sitting completely still. If moving at all. Even slightly you invariably end up with at least one 1998 away. |

You can break gatecloak, activate cloak and then launch probes, in the same fashion you cloak+mwd trick. |
