The whole idea about hisec PVE being frustrating is because you are competing for scraps with an awefull amount of people. That is why player corporations try and gain a foothold in systems outside of hisec. If you can scare away the competition by sheer presence, all the sites are yours. Or at the very least, you have the option of shooting at the competition. The new exploration system makes this all the more so, as more loot can be extracted with the help of a friend. Maybe look into a lowsec corp?
PS: If you are frustrated about finding nothing but wormholes, the reverse is true from the inside. Just a side note. |

Exploration is PvE until another guy shoots you over the loot, then it's called PvP. "In a world of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act." ~George Orwell

Exploration in high sec officially broken. To bad I paid for six months on this game. Was fun while it lasted.
Read a post earlier about guy said this game is going to plex as you go by forcing people to low sec and becoming a pvp fest. I believe him. PvE is dead. The irony...by competing with others for sites you already engage in PvP (Player v.s. Player). PvP doesn't always mean combat.
I really suggest you assemble a cheap scan frigate (start with everything t1) and try lowsec where the competition isn't that big (PvP gets easier ). You will find out it isn't that risky after all and you bring more money back than you loose because you occasionally loose your frigate. And you could probably also have fun while doing it.. |

1st: get out of there ASAP, find some low sec FW corp and start learning frigate fights, make tons of isk with FW lp's, eventually keep probing sites in low sec (yummy how much they drop)
2nd: new/noob/young player is not a problem in Eve, you're not stuck in to level grinding but skills and those if you do it right can offer you a great number of opportunities to have fun in Eve and quite fast actually without playing 24h a day.
You're just doing it wrong like most of us did at some point. Don't expect to find you uber corp immediately, this might take some time and tries but do it for your own fun in playing the game, high sec is the most boring place to be or do whatever.

Again another cluess themeparker post from the WoW expert, there is no such thing as "PvE" in this game, and shootings ships is not the "PvP" part of the game. EvE is not split in half like the simplistic kindergarten themepark mmo-rpg games you play.
After the login screen, every game system involves some form of player vs player competitive interaction. EvE Online is a sandbox mmo-rpg game, it's the last of it's kind, that's the secret of it's longevity. EvE Online will still be played 10 years from now. The Tears Must Flow |

If that would be true ... why would OP have such tough time finding sites to explore? |
