I've read a couple how to guides on mining, but none mention the best way to dispose of the ore/ minerals afterwards... I've played several other MMORPG's, and have realized quite a few things get sold as garbage (aka HQ pelts in EQ,) for coppers, when players really need it and pay plat. Raw materials seem to be the most needed. Is the price I'm getting from the stations reasonable? This is keeping in mind that I'm HIGHLY risk adverse, and am not hauling 10m trit to 0.3 space:D
* Has visions of Pirate Scooby appearing on overhead, howling " Noobie snack! NEWBIE SNACK!!!" * Uhm. Yeah. My civilian equipment roxxors:P
So I'm looking to go for around .6 space? Are there major stations people seem to use ( trade lane systems)? Obviously people aren't going to pay much if they have to come all the way to 1.0 space to buy it. I want to stay reasonable in asking price obviously, as faction with players matters to me:) I want to charge enough that miners won't hunt me with pirate alts, and buyers won't put me on their last resort list.... I also don't want to list in a system no one goes to. Also, what are reasonable amounts to sell in? If there is a sticky guide somewhere that I overlooked ( I tend to miss the obvious:P) please tell me where to look:) All I found were the how to's, not what to do after.... ( and I'd really hate to waste needed resources that someone might need.)

There are major trade systems. You can spot them by the 350 people in local and the 60 second lags when doing anything.
Try Oursaelert, Jita, and Rens. - Proud member of the [23].

The best thing to do is decide what Region(s) you want to mine in. Once you have that figured out, buy a shuttle and travel around between the Regions and compare prices. Some NPC's buy Ores and Minerals. Player buy orders fluctuate a lot so scouting it out is your best bet.

I mine my stuff, then refine it, then check market details for the best prices in region. If you are close to the edge of a region you can also pop over the border and check their prices, then try to map a sales route for my mins.
Works pretty well, but usally end up selling the lot in a trade hub.

Get refining/refining efficiency and specific ore refining skills up. Do missions for your favorite refining station owner till you get 7 standing with that corp. with these `stats`you ll get 100% return on recycles/refines.
Use recycle facility in station to see how much minerals you get, dont hit recycle/refine yet in that window. Open market, set to region and se what makes the best profit including transport time: selling refined or not.
Also a good thing to do if you dont need the cash fast is to stockpile in a station with a factory. When you need the cash set a bulk sell order. Usually your bulk order will be sold fast if you set a reasonable price.
