I'm guessing the answer is no, but I thought I'd make sure. Is there any way to queue training skills? I'm about to demob outta Iraq, and may be offline for a couple weeks. I also can't log in every 6 hours to set another lvl3 skill going:) It would also be great to get several 2 hour skills done in a day. If not, I'll just pick lvl 5 mining, and lose the extra time:)
Second, on clone insurance. The guide said the insurance was to cover skills gained since last death. The ingame menu simply lists skill ranges and cost. I bought the 60k one for 512 ISK :) I only have around 45k skills at the moment. If it's since last death, wouldn't it make sense to suicide every 100k points or so? Haul off in my velator to 0.0 sec space, kick Pirate Scooby and yell *noobie snack!* ? Or is it for total skill points ever earned? Or is 17 million ISK considered table scraps ( for 34 million points)? I know the tutorial left me with half a mill ISK, however, skill buying is costly.

1) No 2) You must always have a clone with more SP then you have in total, or you will loose 5% of the difference between your total SP and the Clone's maximum SP.
btw: 17 Mil is nothing for a 34 Mil SP char, thats less than an hour of work.

There's nothing at all to be gained by suiciding. Clone insurance isn't ISK, it's skill points. You'll always want to make sure you have a clone that'll cover your current skill points should you die. If you don't plan on being involved in PvP for a while, go ahead and buy a clone that holds around two times your current skill points. For someone as young as you are you might even just buy one that's around 1 million skill points, so you don't have to keep upgrading. Just don't get pod killed. :) Each time you die, you need to buy a new clone to cover your skill points. When you do die you don't gain anything, you just don't lose skill points under the clone ammount held.
As for the skill queing, nope, you have to manually change each skill. So if you're gone for a few weeks, you might wanna try getting a skill that's a high Rank up to IV, then train it to V while you're gone. Like my Industrial V skill is gonna take 21 days to train! :( -- Lil Miner |

1) Find a friend who can log in for you every now and then and change.. don't have to be someone actually playing the game (can download client for free) to do it.. just as long as you trust the person :) I often have friends who don't play do my training if im away from my home at longer periods, had them train the wrong skill a few times too though :)

Giving out your account info is something of a no-no, ccp would then not be required to reimburse you if someone stole stuff from your account.

Thanks all:) Mining 5 will take me 11 days, and it's my longest 5 at the moment. I'm going to try and train up something perception based to 4, that ought to take forever to train at 5:) ( I have a perception of like 5!)

Glad you're coming home. Have a safe trip back.
Wouldn't it be great if we could manage our skills from the website "outside" the game world?
