Low dps (tier 1 frigate dps), active tank bonuses, good agility and speed.
Good idea? Would like for frig roams. Using current market prices, I'd estimate 50 million for the hull and fittings, same as a dictor (sort of). Winmatar > Everything else |

No. If you want to use a Command ship then train for it and use a proper one. Plus +ša change, plus c'est la m+Žme chose |

Command ships have the bonus of off-grid boosting compared to my proposal, which is huge. This hull is limited to on-grid/noncloaked/120km. Winmatar > Everything else |

There actually is a type of ship that was designed to command Destroyer Squadrons IRL.
The Destroyer Leader.
They fell into obsolescence when newer types of post WWI Destroyers were built for additional range and capability and became the standard of the time. They became about the same size as the Leaders rendering them moot. |

Interesting.
Also considering an ewar bonus, although very light, or logi bonus, and also light. Winmatar > Everything else |

the boosting is off-grid because the game mechanics means it cant be any other way. It wasnt coded to be specifically off grid it just ended up like that. |

I will not deny this claim, but you can provide proof of that? Winmatar > Everything else |

any reason why you are not bringing eaf to do ewar on a frig roam? Last I checked EAF's were a frigate. By coincidence..the F in EAF even stands for frigate.
HInt: Ewar mods also fit on non e-war rides. I have a buddy who squeezes damps in on some even unbonusd ships. It reels in the kiters nicely from time to time.
Nano/agility fit a cs/t3 and it should be able to keep up with your frigs. Hint: You'd want the frigs to reach the outbound gate first anyway (to make sure its clear) and then jump it. You see...generally its a full tard move to have the fleet booster jumping gates first. Scouts or others do that. This way your booster lives a longer life hopefully. Landing in a disco party tends to shorten their life spans. |

Now that I know that's true, should bad coding be fixed, or if the fix is very extreme, should the game be balanced around bad coding? Winmatar > Everything else |

I think they're in the process of trying to code around it but it's apparently not a small thing. |

Suppose they fix this, which given CCP's hate of off-grid boosting, I believe they will, would you support this idea? Winmatar > Everything else |

Hmmm... So an AF is too cheap and does too much damage for your purposes?

I would also make it so these destroyer only give bonuses to ships on grid that are not further than 120km (maximum small rail sniping range) and while not cloaked.
Preferably this ship can get a 4% AB speed bonus per level (20% total), so it can sig + active tank.
Wow. You're full of all kinds of bad suggestions lately, huh? "Blow it all on Quafe and strippers." --- Sorlac |
