I've got a P4 1.6, 1gb RAM, and a Radeon 9600.
Whenever I move the screen around, in any area of the game, it is extremely choppy. I see lines everywhere when I move the camera around, and it's pretty annoying. Uninstalling omega drivers and using the latest catalyst ones made no difference, and I know the problem is not internet related.
If anyone knows how to fix this it would be very appreciated. Thanks for the help.

I'll check if they show up in any screenshots, but as I said the lines only occur when I am moving the camera. When the screen is still, it is not very choppy, so screenshots should look fine.

By choppy, do you mean low FPS, or tearing? - Proud member of the [23].

Turn V-sync on, this usualy solves 99% of tearing problems.

Is v-sync part of the ingame options? Where?

Turn V-sync on in your graphics options.
(Vertical Sync)
Also turn on Triple Buffering if your graphics card supports it. - Proud member of the [23].

I had the same problem a while back with an Fx6600. When your in space does your ship have 'extra' bits like the hull going of forever?!
Thats what i had; it was even worse in stations, i found the problem to be down to over heating graphics card (84oc)

It might have something to do with the cooling, I`ve had this when I played EVE on my FX5950ultra with a lousy cooler. I first got the red dots and after that the tearing occured from time to time. Are you running the game windowed btw.?

When i had the 6600 i did run it it window mode, it would crash if i minimized it if it was in full screen mode. I am starting to think that 6600 graphics cards don't like eve every much as i have seen 3 or 4 other people having problems to, with the same card.
The best idea ever would be to upgrade to a 6800 the performace difference is amazing, i wouldn't say the 7800 yet as they have had some driver problems.

I'm running it full screen.
I don't think it has anything to do with the cooling because I've never had a problem with that before. All other games play very nicely, it's just that EVE has a great deal of tearing. It's not unplayable, as I am playing right now on a trial account, however it would prevent me from creating a full time account.
