Ignore all the terrible previous advice in this thread.
Give people money. I wrote some true EVE stories! And no, they're not of the generic "my 0.0 alliance had lots of 0.0 fleets and took a lot of 0.0 space" sort. Check them out here:

So the new alliance is not sociable to you, but you're in TEST so why are you that bothered or are the members of the corp. not talking to you either?
My first impression of your op is that you're trolling. Just seems strange that you would ask something in GD that you could easily ask in TEST, maybe some others in TEST think the same way as you. |

Let's say you're really a nice guy who hasn't a clue about Alliance politics...
1. This is a big war, and wars are serious business. Remember that people will be tense and not trust you. It's not personal.
2. Kill more reds than other corps. The guys who aren't productive or have a lot of losses aren't loved by many.
3. Keep a low profile. Don't force yourself on people or be a doormat. Just try to integrate when the opportunity arises. It may take a long time. (see #1)
4. Know that it may be your corp (or its ghosts -- bad losses) and not you that is at issue -- if you likey our corp, focus your efforts there be it friendship and/or improving your game.
5. If it's not fun, consider moving on. Corp/Alliance relationships fail pretty frequently in EVE.
Good Luck. |

No one likes poor people, unless they have exceptionally good looks. It's pretty basic human psychology really. Society only values your presence if it results in more utility received than given. While money isn't the only thing you can provide (one of the other posts mentioned big favors, for example), it's probably the most important one. People will like you as long as they're better-off financially if you're around, with very few exceptions. Since this is a game, and superior genetics don't constitute one such exception, about the only thing you can offer is cash, or favors that save cash for others, or result in them getting more cash.

Yep, you can buy almost anything in EvE. I promise to like anyone for a bil. I'll push the like button and everything.
But if youre not trolling...just continue your PVP and get good kills. Try to get as many as you can. Your corp will appreciate the contribution on the kbs and some ppl will ask for fits, etc. |

All the "be nice to people" and "act like a human being" is snake oil bull crap.
Cash doesn't buy you friends, although they may pretend to be a friend for the sole purpose of getting more cash. I've given away plenty of isk in the past unconditionally, I wouldn't say it's made me friends but they were genuinely thankful.

That's not true, doesn't bother me if people are rich or poor as long as they try to keep themselves clean. But then I don't make class distinctions, people are just people regardless of who they know or what they own. |

How to make people respect you (sort of):
- don't try to be anyone you are not. If everyone acts like an asshat... don't pretend to be one as well. Early on you'll be made fun of for this... but later on people just won't care (and may even come to respect you for standing your ground).
- roll with the punches. Insults come and go... maybe they may throw some bad decisions in your face YEARS after the fact... but if you come up with a (semi) witty response once in awhile you'll be cheered.
- live by the golden rule; live and let be. Don't try to change or criticize anyone's behavior unless it becomes destructive and/or a liability for everyone else.
- be chill. Everyone hates a person who is as nervous as a squirrel (unless you have other personality traits that massively make up for this).
- if you really don't feel comfortable with the people you are flying with... time to change the people you fly with. It's nothing personal (well... it is in a way)... but you're here to have FUN. if you're not having fun then you need to do something about it. Change isn't bad, but it isn't always good. Sometimes, the oldest and most simple of things can be the most elegant and effective. |

10 mil? That's lame. 10 B, might get some of the casuals' interest. A few would require 50-100 B if they'd even sell at all -- or they'd split it 50/50. |

I am not going for Eve-fame or anything, I just would like to not have blues shoot at me and call me names in alliance chat anymore.
Thank you in advance for your advice.
If you want to make lots of friends in Test there are several important keys to success:
1. Hang out in the Bacon Bar on mumble for hours babbling about anything irrelevant to Eve Online 2. Find some people to scam. Bring in some new corp prospects and steal all of their assets. This is one tried and true method of making lots of friends in Test alliance. 3. Fly nothing but a rifter on all CTA ops. This is a mandatory 4. When the FC says "Hold on gate! Gate is red! make sure that you spam the jump button. 5. When in big fleet battles or while sitting on a titan waiting to drop pop a cyno randomly from your rifter and drop fleet. Better yet take a fleet command position and see if you can warp the titan to a gate. |

All you have to do is bring your friends to the reality cusp.
Take your friends and briefly hide them in your handbag while you are traveling to the sanity duct.
When you get to the sanity duct, take your friends out of your handbag and feed them a piece of mangus cheese while stroking their hair.
After that its feet first ( Important ) into the reality duct.
Once you are inside of the sanity duct, try to take a left at the burning tires and then go straight until you reach the door of the forgotten walls.
go through the door of the forgotten walls and ask to speak with a wallhonkler. Tell him that you have brought your friends.
Tell the wallhonkler that your friends need a good soul scraping.
At this point you will need to check on your friends every-so-often to make sure that they dont get over-scraped.
You should check on your friends 3 times daily, every 6 hours, four times a day with food.
Once they look good, put them back into your handbag, leave the sanity duct and they will like you a lot at this point in time. http://www.twitter.com/Alex__Grison |

Not sure what you're talking about here either. What you replied to is how I think, it's not trying to impress you in anyway, it's just part of who I am. Subconscious level, that made me laugh, there's nothing subconscious about it. |

You want people on the internet to like you?
:comedy: That's great.
They aren't people, they don't exist, they are a virtual representation of who they want to be, or who they think they are. Much like 'friends' on Facebook.
Do what you want, & care less about what virtual people think.
