I'm hoping this is an appropriate place to ask this.
I'm trying to use eve central to import prices into excel using a web query I'm trying to filter by high sec only, and the only way I can think of to do this is by limiting the search to all region ids in high sec using "http://api.eve-central.com/api/marketstat?typeid=34®ionlimit=10000068®ionlimit=10000038®ionlimit=10000033®ionlimit=10000002®ionlimit=10000020®ionlimit=10000044®ionlimit=10000032®ionlimit=10000048®ionlimit=10000028®ionlimit=10000042®ionlimit=10000016®ionlimit=10000065®ionlimit=10000049®ionlimit=10000052®ionlimit=10000030®ionlimit=10000067®ionlimit=10000037®ionlimit=10000064®ionlimit=10000043®ionlimit=10000036®ionlimit=10000001®ionlimit=10000054"
The problem is that excel won't accept a url that long. I can post that url into firefox and it works great. Any suggestions? |

USe google docs and the =importXML() function
Instead of marketstat use quicklook from eve-central.
Make a separate API for sell orders and a separate one for buy orders.
First looks like this
=ImportXML("http://api.eve-central.com/api/quicklook?typeid=34®ionlimit=10000068","/evec_api/quicklook/regions/region | /evec_api/quicklook/sell_orders/order/station_name | /evec_api/quicklook/sell_orders/order/security | /evec_api/quicklook/sell_orders/order/price")
That will give you the region name, station name, security of the system and the price of your item.
This will give the buy order version:
=ImportXML("http://api.eve-central.com/api/quicklook?typeid=34®ionlimit=10000068","/evec_api/quicklook/regions/region | /evec_api/quicklook/buy_orders/order/station_name | /evec_api/quicklook/buy_orders/order/security | /evec_api/quicklook/buy_orders/order/price")
Good luck - insert the relative type ID and region ID to change the area you want to look at. |

Break it down into smaller groups of regions. In Excel, the maximum length of a URL is 255 characters for data import. Instead of having one large table, you get a few smaller tables stacked on one worksheet.
Or go google... Cheers C. |

I'm missing something... What do you mean by 'highsec region'? The market hub regions all contain lowsec systems and these usually have the lower price sell orders.
Or do you mean 'non-nullsec regions'? Hooray, I'm l33t! -á(Kil2: "The higher their ship losses...the better they're going to be.") |

Is there a way to limit the results down to just one station? For instance the station id for jita IV - IV is 60003760, but http://dev.eve-central.com/evec-api/start does not provide code for after =usesystem (exp maybe use =usestation?). Am I missing something here? All I really want to do is just in one cell return the results of the sell price of an item.
At the moment I am down to =ImportXML(-¦http://api.eve-central.com/api/quicklook?typeid=29668®ionlimit=10000002&usesystem=30000142-¦,-¦/evec_api/quicklook/regions/region | /evec_api/quicklook/sell_orders/order/station_name | /evec_api/A1/sell_orders/order/security | /evec_api/quicklook/sell_orders/order/price-¦)
This pulls price of 30 day plex in the forge in jita. How do I specify a specific station? And how do I get it to just populate one cell? Particularly the cell the formula is in.
Any help is appreciated.

usesystem is an adequate surrogate for Station on the hubs. You will also be interested in http://eve-marketdata.com/developers/google_docs.php and http://eve-marketdata.com/developers/index.php. Hooray, I'm l33t! -á(Kil2: "The higher their ship losses...the better they're going to be.") |
