Putting up a POS in hi-sec, read up all the information about towers and bonuses, then came across a 2011 produced document that stated the faction towers had fuel use reductions applied and I wondered if anyone could confirm this is still the case.? Also - if you were producing large ships (JF,Freighters) in high sec - would you go to the bother of installing an Adv Large ship array?
Thx JK |

faction towers do use less fuel blocks
but if you xwant to build freighters/JF in a pos you need an XL ship assembly array and you can not anchor those in high sec
so if you want to build freighters/JF in high sec you can build the cap parts in a pos but the final hull job has to run in a station |

Thx ghost
I thought that was the case with the large arrays - but nothing confirms that sov is a requirement when anchoring it as opposed to the capital array where it says that it need to be anchored in sov space. |

the XL-arrays does not need sov you can anchor one in low-sec or WH space if you want
the reason you can not use them in high sec is cause you can also build carriers and dreads in them :) |

you can build freighters in a large ship assembly array and jump freighters in the advanced large ship assembly array both of which can be anchored in highsec |

Regarding the JFs, I wouldn't put up an advanced large ship assembly array. Sure, production takes longer with also costs about 5-10% as much.
The freighter, the components for the freighter and components for the JF can be done on at the pos. 25% time reduction means 33% increased ouput. As those BPOs are expensive, the more output you get from them, the better. |

Using component arrays is fine though.
Freighters and Jump Freighters are built in a large array, not an X-Large. Large arrays are usable in hisec. |

Great feedback folks thanks for that. One last question - is there a faction tower that has bonuses to production?
I know about the bonuses to turrets and capacity - but specifically productions? |

Nope what they have in their info is the same across the board, faction towers have the same bonuses as their T1 variants. Just hp, fuel consumption, and anchoring times are some of the few things that make faction towers higher end than their lower variants. I once podded myself by blowing a huge fart. |

The show info on the tower will list out their bonuses (none have production bonuses), and the fuel requirements tab will list specifically how much fuel they use. |
