With the implementation of Retribution there seems to have been an overlooked consequence to the enforcement of suspect and criminal status in High Security space. This has to do with the NPC Corporation Standings loss that a pilot incurs if they pod a member of an NPC Corporation. These standings losses can be in the range of 50-75%. I understand that the original concept was put in place to protect new players who are commonly found within the NPC Corporations, and my proposed change would not remove this standings loss if the player is on green safety and has greater than -5 security standing.
What I propose is that if a player has a criminal, suspect, or less than -5 security standing the standings loss will not be applied to the pilot who pods them. This mechanic is actually protecting criminal, suspect or less than -5 security standing players by imposing a large penalty to the person who pods them by way of standings hit on the NPC Corporation that they belong to. This seems like a logical mechanic to have been implemented with Retribution but it looks like it was overlooked. |

Your post is about limited engagements which I did not cover in this post, its about Criminal and Suspect podding. Very similar issue but not exactly the same. |

I ve only just noticed all the standing losses. Ranging from 42 to 75%
I have ONLY podded suspects/criminals - no duels, no lowsec kills in that time period.
It doesnt really affect my gameplay, as far as I can tell by now .. but still it doesnt make sense.
If your NPC corp member went suspect or criminal - the killer does not *deserve* a standing loss.
