In recent weeks, I have lost two sets of Navy Cap Boosters in an unexplained way. I am hoping one of you might have an idea on what's happening, since GMs cannot find the issue.
This Jita trading alt stays logged in most of the time so I can monitor as I have time during the day. Open tabs are wallet orders/transactions, inventory, and market details tab with my orders highlighted in blue.
When my inventory on an item gets to decent level, I consider placing sell order based on current price. I select the item in inventory, r-click to show market details and check to ensure I don't have any open orders via blue highlight and orders tab. In the case of the two missing orders, I followed my normal procedure and placed both groups up for sale (events were several weeks apart). After changing the sell price and clicking sell, I normally see the blue highlight on my details tab to indicate my order has been placed. Not seeing the blue highlight, I checked wallet orders tab and transactions to see if I made a keyboard entry error - nothing there. The items definitely disappeared from my inventory, there is no sell or buy order, and no transaction noted in the log. I submitted support tickets and GMs couldn't provide any insight.
I would write it off to fat-finger error but there should be transaction record of some kind, or the items should still be there.
Any thoughts? |

A lot of strange market stuff will often be solved during next downtime. The server processes a lot of the aspects of the market during downtime. Most common is expired market orders are held until downtime. |

Did you sell them on behalf of your corporation maybe? They only show up in your corporation wallet then. Tho they still should appear blue marked in that scenario. |

I waited until after DT the first time this occurred with no positive outcome. The items did not return as I had hoped.
No market transactions in my corporation wallet (basically empty anyway) for months. |

Checked back again after this downtime - still no returns.
Anybody else have any ideas how my items might have been lost? It's a little crazy-making to lose items in market without any transaction record... |

Corp deliveries hangar?
If it was a corp sell order that expired, the items will go to the corp deliveries hangar. Its an easy one to forget! |

Nope - it was a personal order in which the items simply disappeared without transaction being logged. |

Petition?
Fat fingered the delete button? This is EVE - Everybody Versus Everybody.

Both petitions were answered with the same response - we can't find your stuff and our logs don't give an answer.
If you mean the delete/trash button - no. There would have been a confirmation box and there was none.
When I hit sell on the create order window, the objects disappeared from my inventory as if the order had been created. I didn't see the usual blue market order show up on my market details tab, so I checked the transactions log.
No order created, no objects in the inventory and no data in the wallet transaction log. |

I assume there's no broker fee in your wallet history either?
It sounds as an exception is being thrown on the server after the boosters are taken but before the order is made. I had something like that happen when I installed a manufactering job more than 2 years ago. If you get it regulary, have the logserver running when you put up a new market order. If it's indeed a server side exception, maybe it'll be logged and you can tell GMs to search the logs for the exception number. |

Something similar happened to me about about a month or so ago. I wasn't watching carefully, so I didn't write everything down. I just realized at some point that I didn't have the items or the money. I know I created the orders, but what happened is a complete mystery.
I've also got a petition out on another character for being charged an alliance fee for an alliance that had been closed a month before. There have been some wallet weirdness on the database side of things lately. ***Prodigal Frog***

Can you explain that logserver piece? I don't know what logserver is, or how to make it do anything. |

This wiki article explains best: http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Log_Server
You're looking for entries with red icons. It should be possible to filter out all the blue entries, but when I tried that recently it crashed the logserver. |
