ok this is my problem.
When i start eve i enter the hangar and everything is fine but about 30 sec in to the game i get smal blinking squars (has rainbow collors) on mostly my ship but also some in the backround then the game locks for some seconds and the longer i play the bigger the problem gets. sometime when in space the hole screen gets the same collor as a station or something els, the fps drops to 0 when it happens. It is only 3D stuff thats afected, if i remove that option then in hangar i get a picture instead and the probleam disapers but it`s still there when i undock!
have nvidia quadro4 900xgl and a fps in eve of about 40 when running on 1600-1200¦. Have a internet connection of 8mbit to comhem in sweden!
This have i done: updated my graphics drivers, cleand my colingfan on the card from dust and that lowerd the temp 6 degrese but did not solve prob, reinstalld old drivers, reinstalld windows , increased buffering to about half my ram!
The problem only apear in eve and nothing in other internet based games like quake4!
problem apeard sometime in mid november and makes the game totaly unplayable!
cant remember what els i have done but i`m sure i have forgot something!
Pleace help!!!!

Anyone who could comment on this it would be greatly appreciated. I am having the same problem, I have an Nvidia Geforce TI 4600, 1 GB of Ram, and have followed the same steps Shaa has. I set my desktop settings to performance and this fixed the problem for a few days but now it's back. When I play eve planets, stargates, ships, everything seems to blink in rainbowy colors. It now locks up every 30 seconds for about a minute and then returns to blinky mode again. It's becoming very difficult to play or do any missions. Anyone who has any thoughts on this please comment.

If anyone can tell me a solution i would be glad!

Edited by: Callistus on 07/12/2005 00:49:09 Sounds to me like your graphics card is borked. Artifacts like that usually mean your card (specifically the memory) is overheating, what are your temps like?
If the card has been overheating for some time the damage could be permanent, which would explain why cleaning the dust out hasn't helped. Or it could just still be too hot despite cleaning out the dust.
Also if lowering the fps helped then it likely means your card is overheating. Lowering fps means less stress on the card and less heat.

All good now, added a small refrigeration system and blew the cool air into the case. She's peachy now and about 42 fps. Now I'm rockin, thanks for the advice!
