Right, so I'm a fairly new player and have primarily been running level I and II security missions in high sec to make isk. Needless to say, a lot of the missions I'm given are to go and destroy some nasty pirate-types in the local or nearby systems. I think the Angel Cartel is the faction I've run into most thus far.
That said, I checked my standings last night before I logged off and noticed my Angel standing was somewhere around -7 or so; or in other words, f*cking terrible.
Anyway, it got me to wondering; is this going to come back and bite me in the ass later once I move into different regions of space? Meaning, is there some nefarious Angel Cartel (or other!) pirate fleet somewhere out there waiting to fire on me the moment I warp into their space? And if so, will this render large swaths of space more or less off-limits to me in the months to come?
As well, I suppose it merits asking; would there be some means to up my pirate faction standing(s) while not doing irreparable damage to my Minmatar/Gallente/Caldari standings should I find the need?
Thanks. Simply the worst capsuleer there's ever been. |

No, they are pirates so in the space they control they would fire at you regardless of standings. So you shouldn't care about them. Reopen the EVE gate so we can invade Serenity. Goons can go first. |

some of the missions that pirate factions hand out are against concord themselves. which would only effect concord standings vs racial standings. there is also an Epic Arc mission set that can fix standings with empire races offered by sisters of eve.
the only benefit to having standing with a pirate faction is the rewards they give, pirate ship blueprints. |

Just to add to what's been said, all the pirate factions have sections of nullsec that they control, with stations, mission agents etc. No matter how low your standing with the factions you can fly through these systems and dock in these stations. It's not like in highsec where there are faction military at the gates who announce "You are not welcome in our space, So-and-So!" |

Thanks.
The only thing this might harm you on later is if you later decide that you want to run missions FOR the angel cartel or some other pirate faction that you have been killing. Getting your standings positive again can be difficult and time consuming. |
