So right now im doing security missions for spacelane patrol. First of all i get alot of missions out of my system. And when i get profitable missions i have to travel 3-5 jumps and then it makes the porfit the same if not worse then the standard 10mill missions.
On an average i think i do around 7-12 mill in bounty+reward and salvaging/looting adds about 5-20 mill. Now thats in about 20-50 min missions. I think i do around 30-40 mill an hour.
Is my agent pure ****? Or is it like this everywhere on security missions. Also the storyline missions are courier everytime rewarding 400-500k isk wtf is this? Storyline only in for standings now? I thought storyline misssions had some extraordinary loot table....
Help an old mission ***** out. So much changed since kestrel were fitted with cruise missiles :) |

You've got a lot of different variables happening to actually point to one specific thing.
Anyway, with high agent standing, most agents usually offer missions within the same system but the location can be up to a few jumps away as well.
Doesn't matter which regular Agent Division you work with, most of the Storyline mission offers will be from a different division. About the only way to get a Security mission for Storyline offer is to make sure your 16th regular agent mission is in another Division, such as Distribution or Mining.
About the Drone / Merc missions always being offered, are you looking for encounter missions against Pirate or Empire Factions? You'll get various answers from players about that mechanic with the most usual response being - It's randomly drawn from a mission pool.
Maybe it depends on the type of Corp you're missioning for such as a Military Corp or a Civilian Corp. Then again it could the agents location such as next to Faction border system verses being in the middle of Faction space. Or it could be based on your standings. Maybe it's based on missions previously accepted and completed.
Hell, maybe it's a combination of all those options.
I seriously doubt CCP even knows for sure, especially after all of the changes recently done to game mechanics. That probably explains why the most stated answer is "It's random".

Why i don't like the drone/merc missions is because they reward very little. They don't drop loot and usually thats where the money is when doing missions. My standing towards my agent is 9.89 almost maxed. I see the thing about storyline missions, but are they supposed to rewards you worse then a regular mission? |

DMC already pointed out why this is such a nebulous question, but I'll take another pass at it and maybe manage to mention a few new things.
First, it seems as though individual agents do have mission pools. If you're really, really upset with your mission pool, you can try another agent.
Second, getting some actual numbers might help things. How many drone and merc missions do you get? Are you keeping track or are you just going based on some impressions? You might be surprised how large a role confirmation bias plays in these cases.
Third, how's your LP store and are you accounting for that in your income? That's often the largest income pool from L4s, not bounties, cash rewards, or loot.
And finally: storylines really are random. I'd do them regardless, but you can and will get a good one once in awhile. I'm actually rather confident saying that one is a dice roll. Roll more often, get better results more often. |

Im not counting how many mercs/drones i get but i can say already now that its around 50% if not more. Im not counting LP towards my isk per hour. Is there an item that people buy to sell from LP which are superior to the rest? |

Sisters of Eve.
As for your LP store: no one is going to tell you what to buy. Not only does it change all the time, but it's a highly competitive market. But do the math and you should be able to get ~1200isk/LP. |
