Many has asked me "how did you end up being affiliated tor the Angel Cartel and why?", well maybe its time to shed the light on how it came to be and maybe shed light on why capsulers do.
My case it was a chain of events and due to where i lived and how the both large and small influences stered me to where i am now, few months after i graduated i found myself in the low securety area of derelik and seeing how the thukkers was treated i started subcontracting for the thukker mix and during that time the cartel (who was then helping the thukkers) took notice of me.
The work for the thukkers was good and i enjoyed their company but major political changes made the thukker relations change and me and my corp became a liabillety due to our past of fighting the republic, then a member of my corp who had past dealings with the cartel put me in touch with a agent in curse.
After gaining their favor i have to say that working for the cartel have broadend my options and not narrowed them, from our work we have gained strength in the cartel in neural booster tec and ships that some say are based from jovian reverse enginering.
quite a few capulers did as i when the thukkers changed their stance on the republic so i wasnt alone finding myself between a rock and a hard place, in my case and many of the others the change pushed us in the right direction and made us adapt to living in space that has no influence of concord or any of the empire factions.
Some of us did feel uneasy on the cartels stance on slavery tho if you want to involve yourself in that type of trade is entirely up to yourself, also the cartel dont discriminate regardless of you being their subcontactor or slave......race aint a issiue.
Well this is how mutch light ill shed on me and the story of my ties to the cartel and maybe some of you might even try to gain their trust, a word of advise and this is a saying that all thoose that lives near or in their home space......"you dont simply walk into curse" |

While that is an easily reached misconception, it is just that. A misconception.
The Cartel are a possibly the most varied faction in the cluster, given its pechance for recruiting (or accepting recruits) from a wildly diverse array of sources.
It's good to know the Sideburns are still around and flying their own colours. |

Blood raiders are driven by their religious zeal and the fact that kidnapping people and bleeding them dry is considered very bad taste in the more civilized regions of the galaxy. Regards,

Agreed.
Though you do appear to be confusing a fundamentalist zealot with a pirate.
pirates are driven by profit, zealots by their religion.

If capsuleer pirates were actually, honestly driven by profit, there would be far fewer of them. Pirates are common enough that making a profit as one is ... tricky, at best. Most are predators, in it for the hunt and the kill.
Faction-loyal pirates, such as Mr. Mecanicus, are an exception, though I don't know that there's a "rule" to their motives. |
