I have a mission to produce a bantam. On screen is my standings with the station owner, the blueprint in question, my materials which match the blueprint, and the manufacturing job that doesn't match.
I have done several builds so far and they have always matched. This is the first print that has "Extra Material" and the first one that fails to match the print the agent has given me. I have undocked and redocked, and also relogged to no avail. |

pretty sure it's a known bug they just haven't gotten around to fixing in the last year or so ... you will always need what the manufacturing window says, so go off that.
With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

It seems you are correct. I carted additional materials to the station and was able to start the build.
This is a mission for one of the career agents. You know... Those agents you go through right after finishing the tutorial... You'd think CCP would have checked for bugs like this since their much publicized improvements to the "New Gamer Experience". |

What about it is bugged? Is it a bug with the info sheet of the blueprint itself not displaying the right info? If so they should change the print given to one that is correct. If I look at a bantam BPO on the market the same materials are required but without the ME/PE levels. Would these BPOs also have the same problem? |

It can't handle people without Production Efficiency 5. Both BPO/BPC and the quote are wrong.

To give an explanation here:
Production Efficiency below 5 adds 5% waste per level you don't have. So at 0, you have 25% waste (on top of any waste from ME. which only applies to the base materials)
This waste applies to extra materials if, and only if, they also appear in the base materials. However, the blueprint display doesn't show this correctly.

This is one of the reasons that the "you cant build stuff without PE V" continue to hang on.
Granted it is a "must have " level V skill if you plan to do even casual manufacturing, but I made good ISK early on while I was still working on the (now gone) "Learning skills".
It's just harder to find profit without that level V skill. |

That is funny.. So CCP left a bugged mechanic in the new game player experience that leaves new players scratching their heads, being frustrated, coming to the help channel, the forums, and filing bug reports for 4+ months wondering why these numbers are conflicting.
I'd like to spec my character and early career in manufacturing/mining but there's no way I am gonna deal with the extra hassle until I train 2 skills to 5. CCP's bugged new game experience limits players game experience. GG CCP |

What's the other skill you have to take to 5 besides Production Efficiency?
Also, while I agree that this needs to be fixed (especially as it involves tutorial missions) and should have been fixed already, not all blueprints have extra materials. Stay away from ships and a few other items and you shouldn't have to deal with this.
