I need to mission in Gallente space for my corp, but I need to know which ships I should use. I've tried Caldari (meh, it's fast, but not fun) Amarr (but what use will they be), Gallente (blasters can go die). I did Minmatar in missions a long time ago, it was quite... meh.
Does anyone know the ship line and weapons to use for Gallente missions? |

Dominix.
Honestly a rail hyperion isn't that bad these days either.

Reckon those could be switched out for Caldari ships?
1) Merlin 2) Moa (blergh) 3) Ferox / Naga 4) Rokh |

No experience with Caldari ships here, but I don't see any reason why not. |

Caldari (guns): Merlin -> Cormorant/Moa -> Ferox -> Rokh
Caldari (Missiles): Kestrel -> Corax/Caracal -> Drake -> Raven
Gallente (drones): Tristan -> Algos/Vexor -> Myrmidon -> Dominix

You could make the case for replacing the Megathron with the Hyperion. Otherwise, that's about it. Unfortunately, the Rokh is still a pretty mediocre contender here. |

lvl1-3 missions are not supposed to be fun.. they should be fast. Cynabal does them pretty quickly and is fun to fly even with meta 4 425 AC's. Easy to make cap stable with 10mn ab.

Whichever does the most damage is the one you should pick. Tanking level 4s is a joke, and a tanking bonus is more or less completely useless.
You could also make an argument for the ships I used: Kestrel (1s) -> Caracal (2s) -> Drake (2s, 3s and a few 4s) -> Raven (4s) -> Navy Raven (4s) -> Nightmare -> Tengu -> Nightmare -> Machariel -> Paladin -> Nightmare
Honestly, I just keep coming back to the TachyMare. Other ships have more paper DPS, or they go faster and what not, but the Nightmare just performs better in actual use. i might have to give the RNI another run though, I hear it got some nice buffs :D |

I almost fell of my chair, Paikis posting without recommending a NM, but then you quickly fixed that with the above post Must be friday lunch for you and the beer clouded your judgement in the first post...
To the OP, any BS will run the lvl4 missions, just pick one you like to fly..

I endorse this product and/or service :D
Any battleship will run missions, and there is an area of space where each of the top ships will be the 'best'. I happen to mission in Amarr space and so I like the Nightmare... I also have a Raven Navy Issue and a Machariel that I use for the occasional Guristas or Angels missions. |

I'm having slightly more luck getting 4 faction magstabs and a burst aerator II on the Hyperion :P
The fact that it also tanks harder is incidental. But it occurs now that the advantage only really occurs at Gal BS 5, so yeah.

Yeah I only run 2 resists on the hyper, resist bonus keeps an extra low free. Also its a more suitable boat for sentries, so you shoot max gun + max drone dps more often. |
