When it comes right down to it, the critical people in Eve are the unsung heroes of the sanitation department that clean out the bathrooms and ship hangars of the stations.
These men and women work tirelessly cleaning up slop to sell on the market as garbage which carebears buy to sell to some other carebear who...
If the sanitation people went on strike for just one day, we would all be knee deep in **** !

The problem here Jaabaa is that you have the dependency mixed upp, empire players do not need the 0.0 people for much, basicly all the 0.0 players are good for is driving down the price of high end minerals.
As much as you would like to pull together all the 0.0 pilots, corps and alliances to starve out empire the fact still remains that empire pilots make upp the bulk of production on wich 0.0 pilots are dependent.
You can stockpile mega, zyd and morphite all you want but in that form they are of very limited use to you, 0.0 pilots want hard cold isk to buy them nice toys with and that will lead to people bringing in enough high end minerals to cover empires needs, sure you will caquse a hike in prices but that will hit the 0.0 pilots as hard if not harder than empire players.
In short, its a comendable atempt to pull all the 0.0 pilots together but as with the atempted production cartels under Mother (I think it was) it wont work, people by their very nature are greedy and thus as soon as the piles of mega, zyd and morphite starts to grow players will start shipping them minerals in to market and all will fall apart.
That is the beauty of the game, it has a truely player driven market and thus cartels can only be created if the suply and demand allow it and just like the market cartel under Mother trying to create an inflated price market any atempt to restrict the flow of minerals will simply create an oportunity for someone else.
The minerals must flow.
------------ 20. Is it true all pvpers have carebear alts? Yes, of course. I have so much fun looking up who's alt is who's

Am I critical to the whole of Eve? Hell no.
Do I want to be? Hell no.
I play Eve, I don't live Eve.

I second that. It's a game. Should be a way to get away from the hurly burly of everyday life, not substitute it. So name callers and flamers should realise how silly they are.
It's not about flamers but about key players. EVE is a game where key players / leaders can have a major influence on what is going on in EVE by what they are saying or doing.
Although some carebears don't like to be affected by other players, a lot of players enjoy the game with big conflicts and charismatic leaders, who write EVE history.
If you think that's silly, I'd say you lack imagination and miss a lot of the fun. The true strength of this game is how players can affect the EVE universe / other players.
That makes the difference to games like WoW, where players don't have an impact on the world. In EVE people can change the game world for others. E.g. if people in 0.0 didn't deliver zydrine for some time, empire peeps would notice that very fast. edit: Guess the forums would 'explode' as a reaction.

None of us are critical to a point where the game could not go on, I don't care who you are... (Or who you think you are)

I'm only critical to a few hundred folks.
No one is critical EVE-wide, unless you speak in red text.
