Our corp had a mining session in 0.0 and npc pirates suddenly was a lot stronger than the weeks before. They killed a cruiser in a few seconds,firing guns at him from 20km which they never used to do (only used to fire missiles). He didnt even have time to warp out until he was dead. He said it took about 8-10 secs! By Angels at 20km? Give me a break....not even 4 pc cruisers can hit that hard in that amount of time on that range.
Missiles seem to have changed a lot too. They fire faster and travel faster. Nothing about this in the patch notes. I like that missiles are getting more useful, but could you please tell us about the change?
Also, patch seems to have numerous bugs which I guess didnt show up on chaos for some reason.
I like the Trash It thing, very very needed, thank you for that.
Ive been stuck a few times already not being able to activate afterburners, but thats OK, it was at least expected with this patch.

I knew this day would come.. So now the NPC ships fire at you from any distance and don't have to be set off at close range first. Good to know, now I will have to go with a less pretty load-out.. Maybe just a bunch of Power Relays and Large Boosters I guess.. neeto.

eh stuck, ya thats not fun with this patch as you cant use any ab or mwd to help you get un stuck... support Idea: QuickInfo an alternative to ShowInfo

I have to say they didnt seem particularly lethal to me today, and I wasn't using my harderners for a change. Granted I do fly a Dominix BS but still, I would have thought I would have noticed a change while farming the serpentis celestis/vexor/thorax rats...

NPC pirates are shooting from a further distance but as 20-50k pirates are supposed to be flying cruiser class ships this makes sense. They also seem to have the ability to lock and fire within 5 secs which is a thing they never did before. But im not complaining about it, as i hunt for a living and this has made it that little bit more interesting for me. The most i have suffered tonite is a 59.2 hit of a 50k pirate at 24km. Seeing as their missiles do 150 damage fired at up to 30km i see this as no big thing. During Beta they made Pirates ultra Uber and everyone complained. Had to turn it off for 3 days so peeps who werent equiped could get back to safe space. That was fun too.
So far i see no reason to complain about this patch ---- but there again i AM an Eve addict and would play regardless <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

To be fair the pirates had gone soft after the Spodium/Ark nerf patch before this they were alot more viscious and I loved Ninja mining - after that patch they went all "my little pony" and took more time to kill you and appeared in the roughly the same spot and became somewhat predictable - i for one am all for the pirates being spiced up alot more to make ore gathering alot more fun
