Here's me today on a chest / leg workout day
http://i.imgur.com/vT1mG4t.jpg
I usually do a fullbody weightlifting workout hitting different exercises currently doing dropsets
(For me a dropset consists of doing a heavy weight, usually 2 sets of x reps, then quickly drop the weight say 25% and do another 2 sets.)
Here's my Sunday routine.
Exercise (Doing 4 sets of each)- Weight
Dips0 Medium Grip Chin-Ups0 Triceps Extensions100 Bench Press100 Curl free weight 100 deadlift (plates per side)5/4/3 Seated cable rows220 Leg Press500 Cardio (Stair Machine) mins30

Usually i do a 20-25km row in the mornings with a 30-35km row on the weekends as time permits. (i cba to convert that because thats what the rowing machine says Its also made an american company but only has heathen km.) I've been rowing like this for going on 13 years now and ive built up a stamina to pull this off very comfortably in the morning.
Added to this i walk about about 1/2 a mile to the station in the morning and from there its an added 1/4 mile to the office, so its about 1.5miles daily walking commute.
Given that my office isnt too high up and if it isnt boiling hot i prefer to take the stairs, 5 flights is a nice work up and it scares the crap out of people when i enter via the doors not the lift. No one likes the boss coming in unannounced.
As soon as i discover a good surfing area in japan i shall example to that as well. I need ma surf! "I think you should buy a new Mayan calendar. Mine has muscle cars on it." --áKenneth O'Hara

************ and lots of it. I learned from the japanese that you can get quite the workout by going into the horse stance and vigorously do your thing for five minutes. Works those inner thigh muscles and gets the heart rate up. Does anyone here ever wonder why they call it the horse stance? I've never seen my horses squat like that, and if I did I'd probably put em down because that'd probably be a sign that their legs are broken. i just eat less. the low body fat makes my veins pop, and people often ask where i work out. sure, some of the tone is from my military days (up til 1 year ago), but it just comes down to eating less. leaves more time and energy for other things [ 2013.06.21 09:52:05 ] (notify) For initiating combat your security status has been adjusted by -0.1337 yo dawg, we heard you liek industrials, so we put an industrial in yo industrial so you can loss while u loss |

Back in the day I started out just running, nothing else, but eventually that got boring. Then I got into weights and did that for a few years. That didn't really get boring as such, but two things happened: 1: I borked up my shoulder doing bench press - A classic, I know. I was working my way up to 120 kg (240 ish pounds, I guess), but stopped at 115 *sadface* ... Still, not to bad for a chap of 75 kg :-D 2: I saw a ghetto training video on Youtube, which made me see the errors of my purely weight lifting ways. Instead I constructed a ghetto training rack in my garden.
These days I almost only lift my own bodyweight. The exception is for the times when I go for peak load, where I do situps, chinps and pushups with a 30 kg load vest. Other than ghetto workout, I run (not that long anymore, I don't have the patience), mountainbike and swim.
I hope to get into good enough shape/agility to do some parkour-inspired running some time.
EDIT: Shadowandlight, if you do 0 dips and chinups, why mention them? |

Hike/Jog plus some basic strength training like pushups, crunches, and pull-ups. No desire to bulk up, but it keeps me energized throughout the day. |
