Usually Pandora.. some sort of techno....
But lately whatever Mad_Ani is playing (which also is usually some sort of techno).... Mad_Ani, like eve-radio only less profanity and pictures of exploding ships! I have 5 different chars that I play. This may be my main, or maybe not. I have no idea. |

Less(?) ...profanity. Interesting.
Might check it out, been hating on Pandora recently, tired of having to alt tab to tell it I hate what it's offering me.
On a slightly lesser topic, does anyone alter their choice of music based on what they are doing in the game? Flight of the Valkyries during a hotdrop, things like that?

Finding that my music tastes of the moment have seemingly regressed a couple of decades and am quite enjoying the "Madchester Indie" scene of the late 80`s and through the 90`s..

I listen to EVE Radio. Unless they are playing dubstep. Some techno I will listen to, but for the most part a lot of what they play on there is just annoying noise. There needs to be more rock and metal DJs. Yeah yeah, I know. I could sign up to be a DJ, I cant due to RL issues "Please stop reopening silly rumor threads."-á CCP Navigator. |

Relaxing stuff, mostly.
Element of Crime, Carlos Santana, Jethro Tull, Mark Knopfler, Marc Cohn, Eagles...
Stuff like that. Goes pretty well with some relaxed gaming!

WTF.. Techno the most popular with the eve forum junkies?! Where is the god damn sanity? If I happen to not be watching something on Netflix then I'll just turn on spotify and listen to the music I have on there.. And it sure as hell isn't Techno noise.. |

Anything from trance (Arnie van Buuren) to movie soundtracks (like Tron or the Crow) to game music (Deus Ex:HR/Halo) to Two steps from Hell with a little dip sauce of Kamelot with Roy Kahn. Kaaaaaaahhhn? Project Pitchfork ain't bad either. |

Ok. now that some people have replied, I can go ahead and post my own guilty pleasure.
When I gank, typically right when I am rolling on somebody, I play T-Rex's "Bang a Gong". My Rifter even used to be named "The Hydra".
For some reason that song just gets the blood pumping when I charge in on somebody. Not posting on my main, and loving it.-á Because free speech.-á |

I guess I'll be the odd one that actually listens to the few sounds there are in EVE. It's very "2001: A Space Odyssey"-esque. |

Well, since the jukebox was removed, not much frankly. I've usually just got the music turned off.
I did put together a playlist once with bits from various movie soundtracks (The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings, all episodes of Star Wars, Van Helsing, Gettysburg, etc.), but it's not often that I even bother to alt-tab to start it up.
Recently, I have found the haunting melody of Hiru no Tsuki (Melfina's Song from Outlaw Star) feels strangely appropriate while watching ships drift through space through exploding weapon impacts - I'm not sure if it's the contrast, or if its just that even in the middle of a fight, the vastness of space holds a certain serenity and calm. Either way, sometimes I'll just put that song on repeat for a half hour or more.
For anyone interested, here is an instrumental version (with very EVE-like visuals) and a fan-made English version I'm fond of. |

Anything from classical to whatever else. But mostly instrumental stuff, since I quickly tire of anything with vocals. I think it's because a lot of lyrics start sounding really dumb if I hear them too many times. (Sometimes once is too many) |
