When an NPC "scrams" a player their MWD and MJD work fine.
When a player scrams another player their MWD and MJDs shut off.
This is yet another issue that leads carebears into a false sense of security when entering a PVP engagement, if the behavior of mission and belt rats more accurately reflected actual game mechanics it would improve the game for everyone.
CCP make NPC scrams turn off MWDs and MJDs. |

I agree with you and for the reasons you have mentioned, but you missed to post it into the right forum. Loss is meaningful. Therefore is the loss of meaning likewise meaningful. It is the source of all trolling. |

because it's not a scram?
it's a long point. You may gain the knowledge, but you will lose your belief, with all its mystery and comfort. If there was proof, absolute and certain, there is an afterlife, why not quit this life, and be done with it? Ponder about these things all your life, and you're a philosopher. Compress these ponderings into a couple of pages, and you'll go mad. |

I disagree with this. PvP and PvE are completely different, and PvP does not have ships you can one-shot or stasis towers that can web from 70km. Your proposed change would kill hundreds of missioning setups. |

it's a long point. Some NPCs "point" from only a short distance and with a strength of +2. These could well be scrams.
Mission running should not only be a grind for ISKs, LPs and standings, but provide new players with experiences that can be used in PvP.
And let us not forget that there once was a time when MWDs did not work in missions and that the NPC mechanic for warp disruption is just as old. NPCs never had to turn off MWDs until MWDs were allowed. It seems to be more of an oversight than an intentional feature. Loss is meaningful. Therefore is the loss of meaning likewise meaningful. It is the source of all trolling. |

And my question is why does it even float to the top of your head...how come your sooo concerned with others gaming experience?
I am calling you Mrs. Kravitts, this shoe certainly fits.
Comparing PVE to PVP as PVP'er point out are not the same game....sort of like checkers and chess, chess is more a game of wits and skill, even a kid can learn checkers in 1 game. |

it's a long point. exactly, but i think that it could be a good idea to make so some rats use real scram, that also turn off the mwd. maybe the elite ones, which often pop at least 2 at a time, one could be scram instead of disrupt...
in a more general way, i could be great to make the rats capacitys more in line with what the player can fly, being engaged and pointed / webbed by elite frigs from 60 km, locked from 100k etc.... (just talking about the ships here, not the sentrys / towers)
also, they could tank in a realistic manner, currently, they are weak in tank and dps, and this is just balanced by the nb of them.
it might be interesting that, imao, they do more damage, tank a bit better with realistic mechanics (active armor, active shield, buffer etc....) and to balance this, pop LESS rats (since now they are more "dangerous", and increase their respective bountys)
idealy, this should be done so the rewards in isk stay the same as currently, the incoming dps stay the same, etc...
in a nutshell, give rats correct realistic fittings, since for most they use player flyable hulls, but they are controlled by AI |

The point is to make PvE more like PvP, not to compare it.
Then tell, what good is there in allowing players to use MWDs and MJDs in missions with little consequence?
If your objection is not only that of a troll to progress, then you are advocating against the suggestion and should have good reasons why. Loss is meaningful. Therefore is the loss of meaning likewise meaningful. It is the source of all trolling. |

Totally agree because we have similar dress sense. And if you think that other ppl are stupid enough to take PVE as being exactly the same as PVP in any game then you either don't socialize enough and therefore don't qualify to comment on the human race or you are simply a moronically moronic moron-head. |
