A while ago (About a year) it was possible to link EVE to steam and launch it through Steam launcher, thereby allowing you to take Screenies using the built in screen shot system. The screen shots look great and I wanted to replicate that through some other program. Fraps doesn't seem to cut it since the quality is poor and the Prt SC isn't so great either.
Are there any other programs that I may be able to use? Tried googling some but didn't want to end up with something similar to fraps (Which I paid for). |

Not sure I'm able to see any difference between the print screen output and what I'm looking at on the screen at the time, but there are other options.
oops .. you already have tried FRAPS.

If only Eve had some kind of built in screen shot system that used the Print Screen button to activate. Then they would automatically be put into a folder that is usually easy to find in the Eve folder.
If only Eve had this.
If only. Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings? |

EVE can capture in .PNG natively, but if you want uncompressed Steam also does this now. So you can continue to use Steam. If you have a NVIDIA 600 series and up, you could also try their ShadowPlay functionality, though I suspect just for high quality screenshots you would be fine with a free tool like steam.
Also, you could try Greenshot. A free open source screenshot capture tool. CCP Paradox | EVE Quality Assurance | Team Super Friends @CCP_Paradox |

If only. To be fair, he did say Print Screen wasn't doing it for him. |

But the paradox is that you need 3rd party software. |

Try selecting the option to save screen shots in high quality (escape menu). That could work. |
