I have level 4 small and medium projectile skills. In my Rifter I have a 250mm scout projectile weapons and in my cruiser a medium 425mm projectile. Range is the same. The 250 does more damage than the 425mm , this to me is backwards way on. Surley a 425mm will do more damage than a gun half the size. Same goes with a 650mm doing the same damage as the 250 scout weapon. sure it has longer range but it has a slower ROF to it, but the same damage. Why ?
I do overall more damage in my Rifter than I do in a cruiser, now if the Rifter had the same shields as the cruiser I would not even bother with any other ship.
so lets relate this to real life projectiles. CCP are saying that a PPK does more damage than a 45 magnum? and a AK47 will do more damage than a 720 mm Tank artilary ? I realy think some one at CCP is smoking pot as the figures do not add up.
I also forget to mention that on the cruiser I have 3 gryros running so I can get at least the same amount of damage from my cruiser. Kiran-" Damn where did that pirate go?" The destructive power of a projectile (disregarding any explosive yield) will be proportional to the kinetic energy the round transfers to the target when it hits it. The diameter of the round is irrelevant.

a. diameter implies (at the very least) greater mass and volume
b. that's gotta be the most pathetic attempt at an intelligent reply to a completely obvious point i've yet read in these forums
if you think small projectile damage output should be higher than M damage output, you're terribly mistaken
thank you, dumbass, for forcing me to reply... |

People keep making the foolish mistake of trying to apply real world dynamics/physics to Eve. Get over it. It ain't over till the fat lady falls on ya!

I donŠt want to start a new preojectile thread....
But in my impression the projectiles weapons has gotten more worse with the last patch then before? Tested with 650mm Artillery Cannons.
Has anyone this recognized too?

I use both 650mm and 425mm projectiles - 425 is short range, rarely hits above 10km (whereas 650 has trouble below that range).
Not noticed any change in them since the patch - both still rock.
