So here is the deal. Before i would open fitting window to drag a ship setup if someone needs it to chat. Now i get massive FPS drops while fitting is open in combat, its 60 fps usually all the time. Played a bit with settings and no help, cleared cache and usual procedure nothing did a damn thing, tried on clean windows installation and fresh Eve, no go.
Then i noticed a strange issue. Undocked and fitting window open..no FPS drop. Aggroed anyone with fitting open..no FPS drop. Guns/missiles cycling with fitting open...massive fps drop, goes from 60 to 5 fps, then jumps to 60 for 2 sec and goes back down to 5. Turned guns off, FPS going smoothly at 60, back on and lag-fest again.
E6500, 4gb ram & HD5770 with latest drivers.
Link 1 Got aggro, guns not cycling, FPS normal.
Link2 Got aggro, guns cycling, FPS crap.
Link3 Got aggro, guns not cycling, FPS normal again.
Any ideas? |

See if resetting the Catalyst Control Center settings to their default value.
Under Gaming select 3D application settings and press the Defaults button at the bottom.

Same thing, still FPS drops to hell if guns cycle with fitting open. |

I checked this on my computer and it seems this is causing problems under some circumstances.
Would you be so kind to take the time to report a bug about the issue so the developers can investigate the issue in more detail and release a fix for it as quickly as possible. The more reports they receive about the issue from different aspects and hardware profiles the better.
This is done at our website under the EVE Insider tab: https://bugs.eveonline.com/newbugreport.asp Here are further instructions on how to file a useful bugreport: http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Bug_reporting Windows users please include a logserver log with your bugreport: http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Log_Server Mac users please incliude a Cider trace log with your bug reports: http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Mac_bug_reporting#Generating_a_Cider_Trace_Log_File

I attached the bug report to our current defect on this so the developers will see it. Hopefully they'll be able to find the exact cause of this and have it fixed as soon as possible.
