Hey there, CCP.
Can you please try to release blogs with more usefull information, regarding the winter expansion?
You have released a huge list of things that you said you are going to change, but we are entering november and you still haven't revealed how you are going to change them, at least on a good portion of the stuff.
And i don't ask this just because i'm curious (sure i am), but do you really think that a little over one month will be enough for you to gather proper feedback on everything you plan to rebalance? From supercapital rebalance to hybrid balancing to new T2 modules to T2 rig manufacturing? You are going to rattle A LOT of cages with these changes, so you need good feedback on all you plan to do.
Or do you really want only one feedback thread for all the ship stats you plan to change? When the most interesting tidbit of information we got this week was because someone scavenged it from a place they were not supposed to be looking (and i'm sure you will take steps to protect that sort of stuff in the future...) something is wrong.
So tl;dr. I think you are trying to save way too much information so that you can concentrate all of it in only a few blogs with a few feedback threads, when you should be doing the oposite. Sometimes the only difference between a budding genius and a blooming idiot is where they chose to take a stand. |

indeed... what happened to "releasing information early so there would be time for feedback" you've been promising?
edit: not that I don't find the crash reporting thing fascinating... fixing several of the most common crashes only days after you even found out about them is pretty awesome. It's just that's *not the dev blog we were looking for* |

that's the problem - you run your mouth before reading the forums. someone got a data dump from chaos which shows a lot of the preliminary changes. they're good. Anyone who is blue to DRF are cowards and have failed Eve.

Well if you read this: http://massively.joystiq.com/2011/10/23/eve-evolved-the-human-casualties/
From TFA: The development plans for the winter expansion have been deferred in favour of releasing small features like new ships and modules, and adding implants to killmails. "All prior release planning is basically in the trash," the insider told me, adding that "several people are getting carte blanche for teaming up on a feature basis, making little things with a measurable impact." He went on to explain that developers "simply do not have the plan or resources to deliver more than a first step this winter" but that they "also realise that people have heard too much bullshit" regarding iteration on features after the initial first steps are taken. The current development plans appear to be a genuine attempt to focus on EVE Online and give current players the in-space features they want.
edit: To be clear. This is not an official statement. It's information provided by an "insider" to a writer/blogger/thingie/person.

And you don't bother reading the op before you run yours?
I think i mentioned that dump on the original post...

I will use small words for your benefit to help you.
The OP original poster asked why the dev blogs do not have more details. The quote I provided implies seems to say that Development may be in a bit of disarray confusion and are too busy refocusing getting organized and reworking doing schedules over to provide detailed information at this time.

Try and remember that CCP is doing more with less, their corporate morale is likely pretty shaken right now, give them another week or two to get it back together.

They are very unlikely to release specific information on anything before the related sprint it over. Sure we are entering november, but we are probably close to a month away from the internal deadlines. Releasing devblogs about every little step they take is counter productive, and even if you think you will feel better about total transparacy you won't.
Give them time and let them finish it, the dev blogs will come |

There's that POS thing they mentioned; gallente ships boost (which ties in with the hybrid boost.. to an extent); Art stuff (ship skins, engine trails...); overall across-the-board subcapitals boost (any subcapital not named Dramiel, i might add. Even falcons are supposed to be getting a boost, much to my delight); more than a few 0.0 mechanics that soundwave said his team will tweak, but hasn't specified on it yet; new T2 modules; T2 rig manufacturing (intact salvage procurement); minmattar carrier and dread; and some more stuff i'm probably forgetting because i've been awake for 20 hours, so either that or the mosquito coil i'm burning atm are serioulsy messing up with my eyes. What I fail to understand is why first cry "enough talk, deliver!" and then complain when the people in question focus on delivering instead of talking ...
If you don't want a devblog that says "we're doing stuff, it'll be good" but one that contains actual facts then you have to let them lock those facts down _before_ they talk about it.
And anyone who looks at the SiSi dump can see that they are working on bringing both stuff and change but also that it's not finished.

We've just published an intriguing text of a techno-pornographic (or at least mildly erotic) nature. As far as I know there are a few more planned, so stay tuned.

We were just filming up in Art for example. We've got sweet stuff to show you in the coming days and weeks. Stuff that's coming in the winter expansion...stuff that's in production but might come out a little later on...
As for the stuff coming in the expansion, we've got a lot of blogs coming about all that. New t2 modules, hybrid changes, stats blog about the new ships etc etc.
Good times.
