A hopefully easy way to keep Super caps out of 0.2-0.4, and the reason IGÇÖm leaving 0.1 access.
1.Introduce T2 Cynos, allow these cynos to only light in .1 and null sec. 2.Force super capitals to only jump to T2 cynos *insert fluff here* 3.??? 4.Low sec small gang/standard cap PVP, no more epeen tower smashes from board Super cap pilots and, pirate PROFIT with more people in low sec!
T2 cyno production doesnGÇÖt have to be outlandish, just add some moon goo and or PI items to a standard cyno and done and as stated above set it to only ignite in .1 and null, much like how a T1 cyno can only light in low or null sec (which will still be allowed with this idea)
Why should we allow super caps into .1? Well, for pew pew in short. By allowing them into .1 they can still be used for logistics, staging null sec wtfpwnmobile GÇ£loveGÇ¥ fests, as well as simple transporting the vessel around (who wants to hold up a sign (cyno beacon) that screams GÇ£opportunity for ocular penetration of my monocleGÇ¥ thru hostile null sec territory in a ship with flight characteristics of a brick in the ocean?)
For you nay sayers who say low sec shouldnGÇÖt have this restrictions, unfortunately a lot of people disagree with you (FW for starters), something about board Super cap pilots smashing peoples GÇ£little epeen towers/ships to bitsGÇ¥ due to boredom (or at least the perceived threat of said tower/ship bashing) which is one speculated reason that low sec has such a low occupancy in relation to high sec or even null sec.
Oh, and POS Cynos will be considered T2 as they can only be places in null as it is.
TLDR? Scroll up and read the steps 1-4

Super nerf means your precious lowsec towers will be "immune" to supercaps. (Fighters and bombers cannot hit online towers)
Anyways, lowsec has risk. If you cannot handle the risk, leave. Member of the #TweetFleet@thisurlnotfound |

Don't some of the FW guys have supers?
What happens to those, and the other supers that belong to lowsec residents? |

the idea of removing them from low was mostly based on this idea
Hans Jagerblitzen wrote:2.)Get Supercaps out of lowsec. This may not seem like a FW fix, but supercap drops by non-participating Alliances are a huge faction warfare killer. Having Pandemic Legion in the thick of things pretty much ground regular fleetwork to a halt recently, as no one wants to organize any fleet large enough to attract a supercap gank. Supercaps need to be balanced anyways, but short of giving us new HEAVY bomber ships to fly, or another time-consuming counter to develop, the easiest way to foster normal fleets and shelve the whoGÇÖs-got-a-better-batphone escalation nonsense, is to banish titans and MomGÇÖs from lowsec. Dreads and carriers still need to be around, for POS support/takedown of course. Barring the banning of superGÇÖs from lowsec, enabling Alliances to actually fully join the militia would help to give each faction some much-needed muscle to counter these threats without annihilating their sec status in the process.
from Han's thread
but he never mentioned and idea on how to keep them out of low sec, so me and a coworker kicked around some ideas with this being the "simplest" way of doing it and I figured I'd throw it up to see what people thought.

Only the Minmatar militia has Supercaps, and I wish we didn't. Take them away, wont bother me one bit. Capitals in lowsec make sense, since they are integral to POS attack and defense. Supercaps / Titans are totally unnecessary for lowsec life though. I advocate this change for variety sake if nothing else - plenty of players want pew pew in an area where giant supercap battles are a non-issue.
Supercaps are only by used by the militia when your fair fight isn't going the way you want, the militia corps have a horrible habit of batphoning in a 15-man supercap fleet to aid them when their normal cap fight isn't going well. Alliances are more than happy to assist if it means lolsy carrier/dread kills, and especially since they know that once dropped, they don't have to worry about threats from the militia back. Many an Alliance batphone fleet has turned on the militia that called them in in the first place, just to double up on the kills. Its silly, and pointless. Minnies have done it to Amarr as well, no one's innocent in this.
Without nullsec moon resources and the ability to actually build them here in lowsec, there is no reason for them to be used here. Just as there are players who enjoy fighting without bubbles and bombs, I consider supercaps to be a thing only useful and fun when fighting other opponents that can field them back in numbers as well.
The fact that a few rich militia pilots ponied up for them doesnt change my thoughts on this. The ones that own them refuse to use them anyways now that PL has their entire fleet right in the middle of warzone (which to be fair, is their home too).
The only fighting that occurs anymore is small stuff, which many argue is great, but I miss the old days where there was at least a variety of fleet sizes rolling about - now you wont even see Battleship fielded that much, since anything of size just attracts a PL hotdrop.
Just a matter of opinion though, many disagree, thats cool. |

Honestly before we kick Supers out of Low Sec we should wait and see what happens with the nerf coming out. The supercap pilots are already whining about how the nerf will make Supercaps useless(Which is exactly what it is, whining). I hope and pray for the day when one of us Militia guys gets a point on a Supercap and then proceed to kill it.
Even with the nerf, It will still be extremely difficult to be able to kill Supercaps. Considering their average DPS and EHP(Even with the Nerf) A large amount of time and effort and probably capitals will need to be put into killing it. And of course you'll always have their buddies on the other side lighting another cyno and sending in even more Supercaps.
The main thing that will be limiting Hotdrops in low sec will be the threat of OTHER hotdrops. Up until now a Supercap could log off even if it was pointed. There wouldn't be enough time for people in Low Sec to contact a null sec alliance(Read PL) to hotdrop and help us kill the supercap and we most likely wouldn't have enough time to kill it even if we did have the DPS available. Now the Supercap actually has to be careful where he comes in. Hopefully it will become more of a practice to have a lone HIC alt with your fleet to discourage the hotdrops. With the drop in DPS they could put on the HIC in the first place, Hotdrops should decrease in number and frequency.

Seriously? You fail. you fail at life. I really hate people like you. Have you ever lived in Low Sec before? Go back to your supercap blobs and political bs and leave the actual FUN fighting to those of us who do it for a living. Not just fighting to defend our carebearing. (Apologies to those in 0.0 who actually DO fight for fun. From what i understand you are a dying breed).

I have a question for you guys that are for the nerfing of the supercaps.
shouldn't a 'super capital' be uber hard to destroy, and do omglolwtf damage? I mean, wasn't that their purpose? I mean... they're called 'super capitals' for a reason....
my oldest toon is from feb 04. I've spent 3/4ths of my EVE career in 0.0. I do feel that caps should be able to go into low sec for a number of reasons.
1. to hide their location when a hostile takeover is occuring 2. if a character is going to quit their corp or is going to go inactive and pilots a supercap and doesn't want to get rid of it they should be able to log back into the game in a fairly stable area of space. 3. motherships are awesome for transporting things out to null... sorry, 'super carrier'
Ign, you asked me on another toon how I felt about this topic. this is how I feel, with 3 of the 7 reasons why listed. the other four aren't things I'd like to say out in public, and no, I'm not a PL pilot (although the nyx pilot is still in the nyx. I sold the wyvern.) and both of those guys are currently in npc corps because I don't like the current political stature of most 0.0. |

This is one of those arguments that sounds good until you think about it. What does "ability to produce" have to do with "ability to use"? Should T2 ships be banned from highsec? Should pirate frigs be banned from empire? Should supers be banned from NPC nullsec? Should dramiels and cynabals be restricted to Curse? Should T3s lose most of their functions outside of wormholes?
This argument is no narrow that it's really only a disguised way to repeat yourself, to say again that it just really irritates you when you find supers in your Eve.
Anyway, to soften that, I like a lot of the other things you say. I don't think that small-numbers FW battleship fights will be any less disturbed when some alliance decides to cyno in two hundred Oracles, though. Or that it will be any less a threat to your Eve should a large alliance randomly launch a campaign to starve the militias of their FW mission income (and how hard would that be?) Or that the probable majority of supers that are ever in lowsec, that don't give a damn about FW, should have their Eve disrupted because PL is being mean, today, with supers. |

As super will no longer be able to carry their own drones, won't be able to logoffski, can't hit ships with dooms day or Fighter bombers, and will need to rely on lesser ships for defense I see lowsec pilots gaining the advantage. They will have to bring larger blob fleets with alot lesser ships and fewer caps, seeing even one cap in lowsec without allies and if its a HIC that spots it will keep it in place permanently long enough for a rag tag band of motley militia men to assemble and take it out. |
